Default Come clean: Isnt it fun to see the Yanks spanked by Detroit??

Now I'm not a Yankee hater but come on now... The Yanks strolling around with their what $4 billion payroll thinking that they just have to show up. Gay-rod and the rest, this is good stuff. Long live the underdog!

Lakerfan the game is 4:00PM, not a night game

I hope Detroit wins it, most Yankee fans are very narrow minded anyway.

I love when the Yankees lose. I hope Detroit finishes them off this afternoon and then loses to Oakland in the ALCS.

I know he has to go, but I'm just wondering who they can pawn him off to. Never liked them picking him up or Randy.

Payroll has nothing to do with it though. You think E-rod, Big Mullet, etc. deserve the kind of money they are getting?

Money is no guarantee of success. And the more money you have, the harder you fall.

    6-0, 2 on, no outs.

Yanks are a disgrace, they will never win with minor league pitchers

You can have all 250 hitters and solid pitching and you will win.

I agree, but you would think the Yankees would do better than this after spending $194 million.. Front Office has done a terrible job..

Their offense performance has surprised me, but not their pitching. That's why I didn't have as much confidence as everybody else about their chances. You need pitching to win; straight offensive teams rarely win without any defense (or pitching in this case).

Their performances the last game and a half are beyond pathetic though.

    And A-Rod still hitless.

Nothing wrong with Yankee pitching, they just dont seem to play hard. Even during the regular season they would loaf around for the first 5 innings before getting serious. Nice run Joe, see ya in Kansas City.

Hell yes I loved seeing the Yankees get smacked around. I love it when the larger payrolls goes down, its just shows that means nothing in sports.

No championship without HUNGER. That's why you don't want a team of superstars. I couldn't care less about the Yankees. Sort of the counterpart of soccer's Real Madrid. Nice history, but trying to stay on top by outspending everyone else. F*ck that.

Real Madrid care only about the business side of things in the last 4 years imo, the profits from the asian market, merchandise, tv, sponsors etc., they don't give a shit if they'll have results on the pitch or not. They were buying forwards like crazy, spending 100s of millions of dollars, but not defenders, just like the Yanks don't have good pitchers. So maybe this the case with the Yankees?

The way the Yankees played today they deserved to lose this series. I personally love the fact that "the boss" spends all that money, and winds up with a 1 round ousting.
