It seems like a great bet

I think last 15 majors all different guys have one too

No one dominant, Tiger most consistent right now though and that scares me

laying -210 on a bunch of mediocre golfers vs the greatest golfer of all time seems a bit much

i considered it as a hedge since i have tiger at +850 but i wouldn't just bet that line

well a mediocre guy wins every time. they took it down anyway bc he started. sometimes like in poker you call when you have a ton of outs. field vs. tiger is a ton of outs.

yeah i suppose. tiger had a couple putts that could've just as easily missed yesterday (victory lap).

there's just not that many guys close (6 guys within 2 shots), and i can't see a guy like pettersson or vijay winning - i think -210 is about fair

Course is lying down faster than an old whore for the early players. If the wind picks up later this is going to be a clusterfuk

Good bet. Tiger no longer has that can't be beat when leading a Major aura.

correction. clearly jack nicklaus is the greatest golfer of all time.

another joke job by woods in a major. nothing new here people move along.

Tiger has been a consistent fade, even before his "personal problems." Weekend bettors and fans always overinflate his odds, did you see all the steam rolling in on him late in his h2h's today, matches literally jumped $.30 to $.50+ at some places.

I haven't bet him in years and probably never will, good call, especially after how he looked soo good yesterday. He actually prefers the windy conditions here, opposite of Rory, who I feel has more raw talent than Tiger at this point in their careers anyway. Nice call!!

tiger made 142 straight cuts, his scoring average is well below nicklaus (even with tougher golf courses)

tiger has much tougher competition, mainly because he brought the prize money up so much that it made younger guys choose golf as a career

no way am i ever going to agree that jack nicklaus is the greatest golfer of all time, it's tiger woods and it's not even close

watch Tiger end up in top 10 again and keep racking up fed ex points

I think this year as far as majors he takes away he was in all of them and had shots to win

Examining the historical legacy of athletes, or anyone for that matter, is always difficult because you have to put it into an historical context. It is hard to control for all the variables that change over time: equipment, courses, strength/conditioning/nutritional sciences, competition, globalization/popularity of the game. Weighing these variables differently leads to different interpretations of greatness.

Bottom line Tiger doesn't have many more majors left in him, he is among the greatest ever, and to all of us bettors, may he remain a profitable fade for as long as possible.

Tiger was on his way to becoming the greatest. Jack Nicklaus still the greatest.

Jack had to play against Palmer, Watson, Trevino, Player, Seve, Miller, Irwin, among others. These golfers did not choke like todays players. Who was Tigers competition? Phil would collapse routinely. How bout Sergio? Els would fade badly everytime he got close to winning The Masters.

I agree with Miller and Nicklaus who said when Tiger was winning all those Majors. They wondered if any player would actually challenge him. Todays players would choke something fierce.

Nicklaus also was second or third in majors something like 27 times.

Good point. Palmer, Watson and Player were never anybody's patsy including Nicklaus's. More than a few of Tiger's majors were accompanied by shrinking violets.

I think Tiger's interview on Sunday revealed a lot. He said he was trying to enjoy his life and not take everything so intensely. If he can't (and likely never will) find a way to that edge he once thrived on, he will never win like he used to.

FWIW, I'd love to see another PGA or an Open at Kiowah. Great tourney.
