I recently joined CRIS after only having experience with BoDog and Pinnacle.

I cashed in on my first wager thru CRIS and noticed that the dollar amount was correct but the cents was rounded down to 0. I assumed maybe they round down from $0.50 and up from $0.51 but was told that they always round down because the system does not recognize decimals.

BoDog & Pinnacle payout to the full amount. Just curious if this is common practice with other sportsbooks? Thanks.

CRIS is the only book I've used that does that.

Good heads up! Now is the time to build an optimal betting strategy that will save those pennies. It's hard enough to get an edge as it is. Plus, being a micro-scale bettor, 99 cents is a collossal portion of a bet.

Boys. It's not the 50 cents, it's the principle. Just seems like a lame excuse that "the system does not recognize decimals." I assume they use a computer. Is someone adding up the wagers with a slide ruler? Obviously, this benefits CRIS based on their large volumes.

So far the customer service has been great.

Who cares about the cents, but you are right. CRIS is the only book I play with does that.

that's really not right, just make sure you bet on the 11/10 ratio is all you can do...they are a top notch book...

why not split your bets into two bets and maximize your profits to avoid the round down factor.

I also recently joined CRIS, also a Bodog customer ... ALWAYS rounding down to us the customer is probably peanuts per bet but adds up to a substantial amount over a period of time and bets ... There is obviously only one reason they do it, as collectively with all their customers it adds up to a huge sum ... I'm wondering if the people that think it's no big deal are the same ones that shop around for the best line ... The Fox

Think of it ... A recreational bettor that makes a $5 bet and wins $5.95 gets the .95 skimmed off, a huge % ... Can we assume their average is .50 on every winning bet, seeing they round down on everything?

lame excuse. its real annoying and its not about the 50 cents. doesnt sound real difficult to change. that being said, they make up for it. u can make back all your change my winning beat the prick just once or winning a free play from there loyalty program. and if u are careful, just never make a wager where change comes into the equation. bet in increments of 10 or if the line is like -135 bet in increments of 20. and once u are at 100, then it doesnt matter anymore anyway.

I will ask Bill Dozer to check into this. That's BS right there. If a bet should pay $5.95 then pay $5.95. The IQL software rounded down and the books hated that. The LAST thing a book wants to do his hurt a small player with something like this. CRIS needs to explain this and fix it ASAP.

It's been this way for years with the CRIS software.

Previously, they could blame it on the software and still keep a straight face, but presently, I know that there are other books using the same software program that don't round down on 100% of the bets, so they can't continue to blame it on the software. These other books (777Rock is one example) still round to the nearest dollar, but it's not always in favour of the book ... if the dollar "win amount" is above the 50 cent mark ($77.77, $18.52, etc.), then the software will round up, in favour of the player; if the win amount is below the 50 cent mark, it will round down, in favour of the book.

So CRIS can't blame it on the software anymore, since other books with the same software program have managed to set up the software to be more "fair".

Where else in your life would you expect them to do this. Go into a supermarket and they wouldnt dream of trying this "till doesnt recognise decimals" shit.

Worst of all, what a crappy excuse .... insults the intelligence I think. I have a $2 casio calculator and it breezes through decimals!!

Good to bring this out in the open.
