Get out of low rated books NOW!
There will be a number of significant downgrades coming soon. Quietly get your money out and stay with the top tier sportsbooks until further notice.
If you are new to this website check the SBR Rating Guide. If your book is not rated at least a B, get out right now.

I cannot see even B books making it anymore, not that the books are bad but they cannot handle inability to get money there and their focus is too based on usa customers.
I am now only playing at
Pinny
Cris
Greek
I do not give a fuk what the lines are either when I bet, I am going with the top 3 in the world.
Fuk you America

Good advice JJ. I guess Mansion sticks in my mind as a B book that wouldn't have a problem with players staying in. Otherwise, the A+ group is the place to be.

Carib is good question. They have been around a very long time and there are honorable people behind them. They are obviously a lot riskier than a Pinny or a CRIS. Personally, I would rather see yo move up in quality. But at the same time I don't think you will have any problem there.

Note that Carib is currently in good standing and will continue to provide the number one service to all its Customers. In regards to the Bill, Once the President signs it, it will take 270 days.

What are your thoughts about Trojan?
They are a good -105 book imo, but only C.

I hope books can make it through football season, but with all the national media coverage could be runs at lot of places and very little reason for smaller books to stick around and pay out any remaining cash they have.

You scared me enough to go through all my books and compare them to the SBR ratings. I have money at:
A+: 7 books
A: 4 books
A-: 2 books
B+: 1 book
B: 3 books
B-: 1 book (Bestline. I should pass the rollover this weekend at the latest. Leaning toward pulling out at least most of my money at that time.)
C-: 1 book (Sports Interaction. I just put in for a withdrawal of about two-thirds of my balance. I’d like to get some more feedback on people’s perceptions of the current risk at this book.)
D+: 2 books (SportingbetUSA and Superbook from that same family. I know there is speculation they will cut off American accounts, but I don’t care so much about that as long as they pay the balances. Any thoughts on the chances they’ll actually stiff all their American customers? In any case, the bulk of my balances are tied up in football futures, so there’s not much I can do at this point.)

Owned,
I need to take a pass on that just for a short while. The truth is probably. But we need to measure twice and cut once. If any book is in trouble we will skip the measure twice part you can be sure of that.
Tradesports?
I will need Bill to answer that one. I would be much more comfortable with Mansion.
Trojan = No
Carib's email is misleading. The 270 days is the time that the different departments have to figure out how to enforce the law, not when the law goes into effect. The law goes into effect upon the President's signature unless mandated by congress differently.

You know SIA's weak rating is based on bizzarely poor CS which they have improved with several noteable setbacks. The money, however, is good there. You could stay there but certainly their checkered pay out history will get worse before it gets better. The other lower rated books I would dump in the next 5 minutes if not sooner.

“Lower” meaning the two D+ books, or “lower” meaning all the ones at B+ or below?

Yoshi, let Bill answer that one. My reply would not be based on the up to the minute SBR opinion on that question. But no way is Top Cat the quality level I would recommend at this time. There are at least 50 books safer and probably more like 80.
TLD,
I mean the lower rated ones. I'll give you my opinions of the B's and B+'s if you want to list them.

IMG, First Fidelity? Some know it as Youwager if memory serves me. Another decent B book that I wouldn't run from but if you adverse to a little risk you might want to at least take a little off the table. The SBR_John scoop on them is pretty positive: A pretty well run book that has been around forever and the ownership is well known and well liked in Costa Rica. Several large books made bids for their operation and I'm told they have a strong business. They received offers around $20 million and were countering at slightly over $30million. I'm sure they are wishing they sold now. So this is not as small of a book as some might think.

Why don't you or Bill name some of the lower rated books you think is okay to stay at. Insteaad of having each one of us naming all the books and ask the same question.

Freebie, then I would actually have to do some work?? OK, we will have a look.
Abc might actually benefit from this but I can't say why without my phone ringing so they are fine and the possible loss of my pinky finger.
Mansion and Matchbook are fine.
As I mentioned earlier Carib is a bit questionable from at least my personal perspective. Bill likes this book and most in the business give them high marks. I would move on but Bill would probably tell you they are fine. They are one of the original sportsbooks with a good base. But they have enemies and and one of them is the US government so: good book but be cautious.
Bestlines - I like these guys, they are conservative and good marketers and Lord knows they have passion. That's not enough in this environment; out.
Canbet - No problem there
Skybook - Maybe not a real strong A- imo. But certainly safe with good ownership. This book sometimes seems a little lost in what market to attack and management turnover has held them back although they are much better now. You are fine in Skybook.
Cascade - Good backing is offset slightly with chronic software glitches. This is a book that I give high marks to for finding a nice nitch in the market. There are probably no pockets deeper than Cascade's backer. The only risk would be that backing could end in which case everyone would get paid. So Cascade is safe.
