The mod gig was just on a trial basis and I decided it wasn't working out.

I've got a full-time business to run and the only way I am going to take time away from it would be for something I'm really proud of. I thought at first this forum had a chance to be that but it wasn't turning out that way.

I don't mean that as a put down. I just mean it's basically the same as every other posting forum I've seen. I wouldn't take time away from my business for any of them. Posting forums are something to fart around with on breaks - they should never be a focus.

I've been checking SBR as part of my morning routine for a few years and that will continue. I mainly just open threads that seem like they might be relevant to my business but if you have a specific question you want my input on, just put my name in the thread title and I'll probably see it.

There is a lot of un-neccesary junk on this forum, as there is on the others. Mudcat (like others who've posted here in the last week) probably hoped SBR would stay free of this clutter and simply stick to the purpose it's intended for.

It's good Mudcat is back...was starting to get worried.

In fact it is guys like JJ and Raiders (who are really the same person) who are driving people out of this place. We've already lost a few good posters due to their nonsesne.

I don't understand what your beef is with Mudcat JJ. The guy is a solid poster, minds his business, is cordial, and has productive posts unlike yourself. I suggest you could learn a few things from the big cat...he wasn't bashing SBR...he was simply noting that the forum has not evolved into what he had hoped (i.e. a forum for professionals who discuss profitable gaming strategies).

Let's not kid ourselves here, the guy is a professional at what he does. We could all learn a thing or two from posters like Mudcat.

How is what MC said antagonistic toward SBR? All he said is that what the forum has become doesn't fit the plans he had for it when he began as moderator. That's not a shot at SBR, but he just doesn't want to be spending an inordinate amount of time here if it's not something special. I know it's your little playground, but somehow I think that ties into its failing to live up to his expectations.
