Default To override website blocks: no problem

Since January 2006 Italian law forces ISP’s to block more than 600 bookies/poker websites.

No problem. You can go at

    http://www.oscuramentositi.com

    and with

    http://ets.freetranslation.com/

you can translate simply from Italian to English

and you can access (3 different methods, but I advice you the forst) to websites without problems.

FYI caracalla I use two services, the first one is called Metropipe, which allows me to surf blocked sites pretty much as fast as my IP connection and the second, my back-up (which is not so good) is called FindNot.

FWIW I spend a few bucks to make a lot of bucks and IMHO it’s well, WELL worth it using a paid service over any software or horrible free URL (i.e. Anonymizer, etc.,) alternative.

    Good Luck!

    Ourbet,

I have a q. I discovered these sites in February when i was force to look at something to avoid the block before we discovered the solutions that Caracalla sad. I know that using these you are going to loose in terms of speed but i do not know how exactly much because i never tryed them. How much you loose? For example if you are surfing at a 10MB without the tunnels, at how much you "speed" whit them? Is someone better than another?

I used steganos for a little period, well i was surfing at a 2MB instead than my usual 6MB so a huge loss of 66%.

    Thanks.

Thank you for your question Concorde,

First off, I only use Metropipe’s “Tunneller Gold” service, which is the cheaper of the two services they provide. I find that it does slow my service but not significantly as I only have a 1Mbps connection speed. Apparently I must be sitting right on the POP itself because most of the time my connection speed is >900Kbps. When connected to Metropipe though this falls to around 500-750Kbps, depending on the time of the day.

Now as I said, I only use their cheaper service (at $5.83 per month); their premium service, which costs $23.33 per month does claim:

As for FindNot, it’s really in a different league, a lot slower basically but as I need a “Plan B”, the $9.95 spent per month is definitely worth it just in case Metropipe is playing-up, which it has done a handful (<5) of times during the past year.

    I hope this helps.

I'm sorry, not forst but first.

You simply change file hosts, changing name website with their IP: same speed, same website, all the same...

Even if I agree with JJgold: " Getting money to the books will be the major problem, not getting around blocks "... Fortunately in Italy no law against banks or creditcards.

    First method is very simple:

Press the button Start (at bottom left) and click on "Run/Perform"
Write or past the following address: C: /windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
Same if you use computer resource
For Windows 2000 the file hosts is found in: C: /winnt/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
For Windows 98 the file hosts is found in: C: /Windows/hosts
You have to open this file (program “blocco note”, I don’t know if it is blocknotes in English)
Open a new explorer window and go to www.oscuramentositi.com/wp-content/hosts.txt
(for your knowledgment, this file translate website name in his IP address: www.sportingbet.com is 213.52.217.63 as www.sportsbookreview.com is 209.200.142.20: IPS’s block name, not IP address: too much difficult)
(You can find IP address, START – DOS command – ping websitename)
Copy and paste www.oscuramentositi.com/wp-content/hosts.txt in your hosts file
    Save and close Explorer

Now you can access without problem at every books

You can override this problem too, but I can't explain too well so far. If the problem becomes impelling, you can PM me (only if SBR members at 09/30/2006: better safe than sorry, as another SBR member said) but only at December, if the problem is persisting.

The only thing I can say is: you have to open a new fake account (as KURT SWCHEIZ, from Switzerland, Monaco or Litchstetein or so on) and try to put in it at lest $10 (poker freeroll tournament, contest or so on); same time you have to open a new Neteller account same name and data. then.... no problem depositing in your real account.

    To SBR Jhon.

I read another post chinese people are forbidden to join and enter SBR forum. If you can, you have to tell them to add their hosts file this line

    209.200.142.20 www.sportsbookreview.com.com

    and

    209.200.142.28 forum.sbrforum.com

I'm confused. Is Anonymizer a good option or a poor option? Anonymizer is not free. It's a $100.

You have to change only hosts file, you on your computer: no program, no anonymizer, no firewall, no strange things. You can check at google what is hosts file: it's a normal MS file you can change everytime you want. Last week I had a problem about Legends only because I inserted a wrong IP address inspite of Legendz website real name.

My apologies rolemand, I can no longer find Anonymizer's URL but basically it worked on the same principle as this, from the Cloak.

    Pretty funny. 1st line the Cloak's T&C

You may not use the Cloak for any illegal purposes. This includes but is not limited to the transmission or receipt of illegal material.

    Ourbet,

For sure seems better than Steganos. I see some have different packages so maybe with their best you loose not much. Then the tunnel will not needed for watching streaming or downloading files so not such a problem.

As about the block i am not sure that our systems ( the ones described by Caracalla ) will work because the block that italian ISP made was not "complete" ( it was defined a joke ). I am not a tech expert but i heard that, bottom line changing the DNS on your connection will not work so proxyes will be the way to go but we will never reach that point and it will not be needed.

It is going to happen exactly what happened in China and what happend here. USA blocks you access to ...

    www.pinnaclesports.com
    www.betcris.com

    etc etc . ...

After that Pinnacle and CRIS change their URLS so you reach them at ...

    www.pinnaclesports1.com
    www.cris1.com

Then they block www.pinnaclesports1.com and www.cris1.com so you "type"

    www.pinnaclesports2.com
    www.betcris2.com

    and so on.

It is a loose battle for them. This has become comical in China.

    Caracalla,

Io fastweb 6MB ( dovrebbero portarlo a 20MB a dicembre! ).

That's true but to be honest, because I've got a relatively slower connection speed here than you in Italy or the guys from the US, I do all my surfing through the VPN. I even watch YouTube using it! It's that good (for me at least).

Hey I was wondering about the MS host codes and IP hiding, I was wondering would it overcome third party software blocks that block your wi-fi access at hotspots, most notable Panera Bread. If I do the host code will it let me access for example Pinnacle sports? As most of ya know already to access gambling websites on Panera bread are mostly block, except for a few exceptions. Has anyone tried this already?

Well it is legal to gamble in Canada, so on the way to Casino Windsor I can stop at a Windsor library and access the gaming websites under Canada soil, so I probably have to make a whole day of it. Just another option.

How about ************ from foreign banks for sportbooks depoists(so you dont pay $75 for wire tarnsfer) and a foreign bank for sportsbook withdrawals(wire transfer)?

The problem is finding good banks that offer high limit ************. Even if it must be a secured cc its ok

To pjesnik24 and other people sent me PM asking

"... if you could send me the IP addresses for betsson, stanjames, 10bet, paddypower, bwin and similar sites?....."

You can find them launching MSDOS command and then

    ping www.namewebsite.com

    (ex: ping www.10bet.com)

In the answer there is IP address

    10bet 217.205.136.249
    betsson 83.138.131.179
    stanjames 213.219.11.234
