Rick Nash to NYR all but final.

    Dubinsky
    Anisimov
    Erixon
    1st rd pick

Interesting. Nash is not a winner. Good piece but not a winner. Team will have serious cap issues soon.

Howson is getting roasted for this deal on twitter. Considering Nash is over popularized compared to his stats I think it was OK. But for it to take this long to get a deal like this seems ridiculous.

Fits right in, overpaid for what he is, basically a James Neal except he's fading....

I guess Rangers did not give up too much.

Should have went to the Pens if he wanted to get better.

Nash played in Columbus, how the Fuk could anyone be a winner in that shit organization ?

Btw, Nash looked like a winner at the Olympics with his gold medal.

    Jackets got fleeced here.

A guy getting paid about what he would on the free agent market not really worth that much on the trade market, that's why it looks like Jackets got fleeced, but it is about all they could expect. Wild got Parise with the same cap hit and didn't have to give anything up.

NYR lost out on Parise and Weber, need to do something. They have a 2-4 year window while guys like Richards, Gaborik and Lundqvist are still in their prime

I hardly pay attention to hockey except for the blue jackets. So how do you figure, did they overpay for him by hockey standards?

That'd be like corey dillion not being a winner because he played on a different terrible Ohio sports team.

The real loser in this off season is Detroit. Team did nothing with massive amount of cap space. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Coming from a diehard Blueshirts fan I am dissapointed to say the least. Gave up way too much here for Nash. Anisimov leaving and giving up a first round pick hurts the most. Nash is going to tie up the Rangers for years to come.

Most Rangers fans seem pretty pleased. You unload Dubinsky's contract and keep most of your young solid prospects. You didn't have to move DZ and your first round pick wasn't going to be a lottery pick anyway.

Umberger, Brassard, Dubinsky, Anisimov, Prospal.....your CBJ.

  17. #17

Howson 2nd worst GM in hockey (Brian Burke is the worst). Howson was behind all the shit deals the Oilers used to make before he went to CBJ.

Rangers stole Nash. Columbus worse now than before. I don't see how that Jew prick Gary allowed this.

Rangers have been top 5. They choked in the playoffs.

You have solid defense, top notch forwards, top tier netminder. Time to put it together. Hagelin is the best young guy on the squad.

Gaborik under contract for 2 more years, in 4 ears Richards is like 36 not to mention the fact they can lose players to cap problem with being so top heavy with Richard/Nash/Gaborik/Lundqvist contracts

2004 Lightning were also a young talented team that won the cup with Richards/Lecavalier/St Louis, that trio never made it out of the 1st round after that cup win

I stand by my 2-4 year window
