Can anyone give me any advice on how to get funds due from a online bookmaker.
I have credited funds to my account by bank DC in gbp.
I am struggling to contact by email post or phone.
I have a trading address which i believe is his residential address also.
Any advice legal or otherwise would be greatly appreciated.

    Handyman -

At this point, GolfingGods is not paying anyone. If they begin paying players, we'll advise you (and others).

For the future, you might take a look at the sportsbook ratings. This will give you an idea of what kind of risk you take by playing with a book.

Ignorance to the state of the sportsbook, greed over a juicy bonus. I think that covers it.

Hey Handyman, I'm sorry I never posted before but if you haven't yet opened an account with VIP Sports (SBR A+) you've got just over 2-hours to collect a $200 (100% Cash Bonus) and get youself a FREE T-shirt.

You need to quote the following promotion code "VIP930B", so Good Luck, if you get this in time and if you don't already have a VIP Sports account.

Since Golfing Gods in located in the UK, is their any regulatory body we can take these complaints to? I know they belong to IBAS, but they won't have any power over them beyond just pulling them from their site. But should be some regulatory body. Anyone have an idea?

We have received many GolfingGods complaints like this one:

    I requested a payment of xxxx.00 GBP on 4th Sept 2006.

The payment was never processed, and they are becoming harder and harder to contact by the day. In the past I was able to contact them via email (jason.west@golfinggods.com) but they have almost totally stopped responding via that route.

I have discovered the Managing Director's mobile number today. When I called him he said he now has almost nothing to do with GolfingGods, and that customer services were sending correspondence in his name (and signed by him) without his permission. And despite another customer telling me that Jason had paid him this week following a personal call to Jason's mobile, he denied having anything to do with handling accounting issues. I find all of these claims hard to believe.

Last week I managed to elicit a response via email, in which Jason West said that he would "place a trace" on my withdrawal request with the bank, and if it didn't turn up he would pay the money into my account in cash, on Weds 27th Sept. The cash payment never arrived.

There are several punters of whom I am aware that are owed significant sums of money. It seems a growing possibility that Mr West and his company could vanish at any moment.

Jason blamed his "staff" for using his email last year when he was caught in lies. He is running a one-man operation. We've never spoke to or received an email from anyone else. He even refers to the book as "I" on the company voice mail. Last year Jason volunteered to follow certain guidelines and maintain a level of communication with SBR. Unfortunately, after touching base regularly, he disappeared when the payout delays began. Hopefully he surfaces again but it doesn't look good. He clearly is making excuses for his financial problems.

Since GolfingGods stopped paying, one player reported receiving his payment after threatening to charge-back his deposit.

    Tribet,
Do you know the amounts of the transfers sent to your friends?

Thank you for the information Santo.

I am currently following five cases of Golfing Gods not paying.

Aside from one reply from Jason saying he would look into it, he won't reply to my emails or take my calls.

If anyone has any ideas to help people get paid I am open to them. They seem to be in full no pay mode.

I have five GolfingGods complaints I am working on, and it looks like the site has thrown in the towel and given up.

    IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM GOLFINGGODS

It is with great regret that the directors of Golfinggods Ltd have decided that the company must cease trading immediately.

The directors are in the process of consulting with appropriate parties regarding the future of Golfinggods Ltd. Further communication will follow shortly.

In view of this development all correspondence to Golfinggods via email or mail will be temporarily blocked, until the legal practitioner appointed in relation to Golfinggods Ltd allows such correspondence to be sent to an appropriate location.

    Thank you.

    Golfinggods Ltd.

Jason West the manager has been non responsive to my emails for the past week, so I guess it isn't too surprising, but I really feel for all the players who had money with them especially the five who contact us.
