Default Why is Pointbet a D+ rated?

Slow pays? Bad history? I was told they are a solid book and I see they got very good lines for soccer. Was looking to throw in a deposit, should I stay away?

Thanks bud. I see they don't accept Neteller and I can't make a ** transaction at this hour anyways. Sucks, I saw the lines up at Canbet, but they are now down for some routine maitenence or something. Matches don't start for about 12 hours, but I'm really beat and am thinking I might miss them. Pinnacle doesn't have the Asian Handicaps I want either, offering only +0.25 instead of +0.5

I think a good option to deposit and withdraw to and from Pointbet is Moneybookers.

well, you can almost say that is the only real option if you want to keep your money online.
They were in slowpay mode during the WC in Germany but never had any problems with withdrawal after that nor I heard about it on European forums.
I would say that they are quite safe and they are getting better from day to day especially now that Pinnacle also entered the market with the lower leagues.

1128bet is the former paradisebet. I wouldn't deposit money there because they are known for cancelling bets.

    I don't know anything about 188bet.

Probably the best book for serious AH betting still is sport bookie online ( http://www.sbobet.com/ ).

Pointbet CS is rough for the English-speaking player. It can be similar to the CS experience with 10bet.

Pointbet wrote a few months back to say they have a UK office. We have been playing phone tag with them since. Current questions include if they are now using UK banking and if they have servers in the UK.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: POINTBET (SBR rating D+) management informs SBR that the sportsbook has obtained a UK bookmaking license and an office in London. SBR will pursue UK banking information before reevaluating POINTBET, which many players feel is an underrated sportsbook. POINTBET was downgraded from C- to D+ last year when SBR learned that the sportsbook was operating from Batam Island, Indonesia.

I am sorry but what does it really matter what country its from? I think that is racism.

    Dear me. It's not racism.

Gambling is (or was at the time) illegal in Indonesia. Do think it's safe to have your money in a sportsbook which is operating illegally? Especially when it's a sportsbook you find out is operating illegally after they had already told SBR they were operating from a safe location.

I apologize. I did not know about the history with them lieing about their locations and just thought (as someone reading that sentence alone and didnt know the history would) you implied something about that every non-american thing sucks.

The US is actually knowned for their patriotism.

Since about 2 weeks I am testing them and so far they seem to be alright with some interesting odds. (Of course that's just a first impression and for example I don't know if they start limiting me sooner or later. So far their limits are ok - about 5000 Euro in the main soccer leagues.)
They are one of the few asian books where it is easy to play without the agent system.

CS is pretty bad. Cashouts take a while.

Don't think I implied it since I'd not posted on this thread before and neither am I American. And none of the books here are working out of America (well, not the "legal" ones anyway).

It's just that some countries are not the safest place for your sportsbook money and Indonesia just happens to be one of them

Anyone got any further feedback on this site? Just tried to register with them, went through the form and then "an unexpected error has occurred" - tried again and the same thing happened, not that impressive.

The lines look good though (not that this means much as pointbet have proved!)

As a UK player they switched from payouts (via bank transfer) from a correspondent bank about 6 months ago to just paying sums of cash into the bank. When they used to pay me (feels a long time ago now) they would wait 2 days and then the cash would be paid into the account which was most satisfactory (ok not as good as pinnacle but it certainly built my confidence in them).
