Best band ever!!
I know I made an American best band thread.. how bout best band ever.
led zepplin
I know alot of you punks wern't even born, but these guys were the best. At one time they had 5 albums on the charts at the same time. never done before. Talent pure and unadultered . Id love to get Muders input. Please feel free to give yours and why you think there the best.

I agree 100%. Nothing better than a little Zepplin. Rock. Blues. Jazz. Soul. It's all in their stuff. God they just rock. You are completely right, no room for argument here.

God i feel old. Guys check them out, I know Nirvans , GNS , TOOL but these guys put all those bands on the map. They took what the beatles started to a whole new planet! Fvcking Jimmy Paige would play his fvcking guitar with a bow from a violin. Check out a little tune called "Achilles last stand"

Physical Graffiti will be the best 12.99 you have ever spent on Itunes. The first disk is a remastered version of Houses of the Holy and it will rock your socks off. The second disk is more soul/jazz/experimental stuff. God Happy, I have always maintained that they are the best band of all time but it has been a while since I have been reminded to bask in their awesomeness.

While the 1st disk includes the song "Houses of the Holy", the album "Houses of the Holy" is completely separate from Physical Grafitti.
I agree, though, best band of all time

Right. Sorry. Songs for the two albums were recorded in the same month in '72 and there was significant confusion even among the band about which tracks were going to end up on which album.

I always feel like I should have a wild obscure answer for a question like this but I don't. For me, it always came down to Pink Floyd or The Beatles. Obviously technical proficiency is only a small part of my equation. It is about style and writing.
Pink Floyd would have been my choice from the time I was about 16 until about 35. But I shifted over to The Beatles.
I also have to mention Steely Dan. I'm not sure if they fall in the category this thread is asking about but what a band. Musicianship and sophisticated writing.
But I'm saying The Beatles.

Mudder, i love Steeley Dan, any band who names themselves after a Dildo is ok by me. Floyd is awesome, those fvckers would take you on a trip in all there songs. the Beatles are pavers . they made the trails for the before mentioned bands. i still have to say Zep my man. carry on.

Before they were so named comedian Chevy Chase was the drummer for Steely Dan. Little VH1 pop up video trivia for ya'll.
Gotta respect the Beetles for their sheer breadth and superior writing and composition. They are up there for me.

first song i learned on guitar was heartbreaker..i was about 6 yrs of age, from that day on, ive listened to them religiously, they are the reason why roch even exists today

The greatest band of all time, without hesitation, is REO Speedwagon. Kevin Cronin, Gary Richrath and Neal Doughty are the greatest combination of musical talent ever assembled on one stage or recording studio.
