    Default A crazy match going in Davis Cup right now

    Russia leads the USA 2-1 so far (best of 5). Youhzny was supposed to play Roddick, then Davydenko, but injuries/health kept them off the court, so Russia had to play Tursunov, who is by far their worst clay courter (He's said in his blog that he HATES the dirt). He won the first two sets against Roddick pulling Russia within 1 set from winning the tie against the US, but Roddick stormed back and won the 3rd and 4th sets and had a chance to serve out the match in the 5th set, but choked. Now it's 13-13 in the 5th set as there are no 5th set tiebreakers in Davis Cup Tennis. And, of course, it's not on live anywhere in America

    Roddick gets broken and Tursunov wins a 5 setter on clay, the surface which he said is only for girls

    Tursunov wins 6-3, 6-4, 5-7, 3-6, 17-15

    Was there a line for this match LF? When I went to bed, it was still Roddick/Youhzny up (knew Youhzny wasn't playing, but rumors were it was Davydenko but I guess he had a high fever). Both these guys are awful on clay, but Roddick should've pulled this one out considering Tursunov might be one of the absolute worst on this surface.

    have never really gotten into the Davis Cup, nor the Ryder Cup in golf for that matter...I'm thinking that's what we have the olympics for anyway...
