From Pokerstars point, I think this is beyond huge for them. Eventhough Pokerstars is on its way to being a monopoly of online poker, since Black Friday, I think this is a very strong marketing move. Every guy and his dog in Spain is gonna be on Pokerstars after this, as Nadal is going to be playing tournaments there. And not to mention the global attention this is gonna get also.
I can't imagine the shit load of $ it cost Stars to sign him, but I'm sure they can afford it now, as they're raking the revenues of all the other dead sites. I would be surprised if this hurt Nadal's public image in anyway. We're in the year 2012 and poker shouldn't be viewed as something harmful or 'bad'...Yes its gambling but it involves a high level of competition...and who better to fit this kind of competition than one of the best competitors in the world.
What do you guys think?
