The course is a mess. Brown patcbes all throughout and it looks flat out ugly. What am I missing here?

This is one of the better courses on the open cycle. Always good finishes....hard ass course but not ridiculous like shinnecock or oakmont.

I have no doubt but it's ugly, is not? I just dont recall seeing brownpatches at Pebble Beach?

Brown on golf courses isn't always bad. It can just happen when the golf course is firmed up to play faster.
Look at British open courses..they're all brown because of the weather and the wind whipping all the time. Still great for play.

very challenging course
hosted it 4 previous times last being 1998
great for people on the east coast who want to watch. nothing like golf till 10pm

Green grass is just cosmetic. Best fairways I ever played on were brown. Firm but nice lies, could hit any kind of shot.
