The thing I found most interesting starts at 2:35. Mr. Booth says he will not gamble in the Pit, Drink Booze, or play online until he get's back on his feet. Well it seems like that is what got him in trouble in the first place. He is setting himself up to fail again.

Online poker is a joke, almost every top player has moved to live poker only or live poker vast majority, the fact is online poker AINT poker. If you cant see your opponent how are you supposed to read anything about his clicks and all poker is is reading your opponent and playing accordingly, you're eliminating a major avenue to reading him if you cant see him

I mean I use to watch poker and play daily and this guy was big enough that if u just said his name I would have told u he was a poker player. It's not like he was some no name poker pro. While those things you mention in #2 are valuable they are not necessary to a good player. Phil Ivey has made $20 million in online poker without those things.

Ask Durr, Daniel Negreanu or just about anybody else even a year before Black Friday and they will tell you live poker is where its at and that online sucks by comparison and is just nitsville bullshit with no skill other than basic math/betting patterns since theres no ability to read ppl on an individual hand.

Look in real life when a good player is trying to make a tough decision, hes asking questions and trying to get as much information as possible from his opponent to make the right decision, the information he gets from the way the guy acts on a particular hand can be as valuable or moreso than tracking his overall betting patterns, you take that out of the game and its no longer poker its just cards
