Default Guys, we are handling a high level of complaints right now.

We are working them as fast as possible.

I'll tell you straight out that we are seeing legit complaints from books that are almost never on the complaint list. Books like Mansion, VIP and even CRIS (all SBR advertisers by the way).

IMO, book operators have done a poor job managing the start of football '06.

software changing the lines and not telling the bettors the lines have changed, and the bet is accepted, additionally annoying they took away action points although that may not really be a complaint

Not a good sign but at least SBR does not cover up complaints like EOG and majorwager

Its actually Bill and Justin and their staff that does all the work.

    One more thing.
I'm dissapointed at the responses we are getting from the books when problems arise. We have better things to do too than to beg you guys to tell us what is happening with a certain player problem in a timely fashion. Maybe you would prefer we just stear them towards the posting forums???

Cris and Vip dont surprise me at all, and its kinda good to see John posting this...compared to the real top books some of those are simply overrated. Good books - yes. Top notch - NO.

It is very disappointing to hear that, but the honesty is appreciated John.

I've found CS is weak this year more than ever. They must be cutting back on the girls.

Then why not downgrade them . VIP and CRIS A+ to A. It wouldnt do them too much harm but it would send a message.

  15. #15

yeah A+ should be reserved for the top shelf shops only, i dont feel for example VIP belongs there. Its more like A or A-.
But SBR knows what they are doing, we represent only a small amount of the players here and its possible that all the weekend bettors are very happy there. But a small group of players should be enough imo to remove the + from them.

The main reason for bad customer service is major cutbacks at books

The majority of books are just trying to survive

These books should hire my wife. She could give classes about CS that would knock their socks off.

In fact it is better not to click on the SBR banners if you have positive EV of your bets, IMO

I can't help but think the reason for sportsbooks not taking customer complaints seriously is that so called watchdog sites have completely sold out. My god EOG has gone from taking a stand to outright jumping in bed with thieves.

Stone cold robberies from posters are met with skepticism and are called "disputes". If you were held up and your wallet stolen would you say you had a "dispute" with the robber? Posters need to stand together and boycotte these trash books. Why play there? They are only letting you play at their book because you are a loser. Seriously, when you become a winner, they either throw you out or steal their money back. Play at real sportsbooks. Make the off-shore gambling industry stronger.

    You are 102% right.
But which are "real sportsbooks" in your opinion? I do not think there are more than 10 "real sportsbooks". And if someone looks for example for in-running soccer or regional competitions I guess much less or zero. Many suckers need to parlay everything they find and they have no choice to bet at good shop.

Thanks for the update, John! Keep us posted.

I agree with some of the other posters on considering dropping VIP & CRIS down from A+ to A. Send a message, and if things get fixed, bump them back up. Personally, I think Pinnacle should be the only A+ book, but we've had this discussion over and over before.

Lucas, you're right. Very few top shelf sportsbooks. 10 or less. The obvious ones are Pinnacle...WSEX...Olympic...CRIS.

I can hardly believe(yes I can) VIP has a rule that they will steal your money if your account is inactive for 12 months. Thats what happened to me at Millennium. They did not have a rule. They just stole my money. Its still stealing whether there is a rule or not.

Most books have an inactivety rule but in 7 years in this business I've never heard of a book keeping a players money because of inactivety.

Our buddy roberto was trying to clean up the Royal books when he was ceo a few years back and grabbed every account that had a balance under $10 if memory serves me. If the player discovered it he would put it right back with some sort of apology.

We always reserve the right to downgrade a book. But take the CRIS cases. Most were due to CRIS simply not being ready for football, they were short servers. On the 1st Sat of the NCAA season they rushed out and bought 13 servers and brought them on line in a couple of days. We are not going to downgrade a book that is trying to address whatever shortcoming they may have.

With VIP we have had some communication problems. The CEO has written personally to us asking what he can do to correct the problem. That's the response you would expect from an A+ book.

Mansion is probably close to a downgrade but their rating is not that high anyway at a B. But some players have had to wait 4 days for account information and so have we in an effort to help them. Thats painfully unacceptable.

i've received all of my payouts from royal in a hassle free and timely fashion. They've done a complete 360 from their performance a year back. Hopefully they can maintain it and become elite again.

Yes, it looks like Chester(new CEO) gets a passing grade so far. A new broom always sweeps good. Lets see what happens next.
