    Default sports pagers

I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has a sports pager...which one, what they like and don't like about it.
I have a pager I bought off the 'net about a year ago for about $150. It's a Motorola pager with Verizon service.
I like it except for two things: It doesn't have a screen for final scores and it's only functional in the local area.
I'd be interested in purchasing another one where these two issues wouldn't be a problem.
    Any suggestions?

Just pick up a decent cellphone, Rob. Onlooker will let you know which one will make you happiest.

the pager is way better, but you do look kind of funny with it in public compared to your phone.

I got the Cris one that I rarely use, and a motorola one that says metrocall on the front that is really good, I think other pagers are better for injuries if you need that, but I just use it for scores and lines and info rarely

Yeh when you carry one of those around with you it is obvious people think you have a gambling problem and I do not advise carrying one. They are good for home though, the phone is the way to go and way more acceptable.

The people that I know that have the pagers are the box men, and pit bosses in the casinos around here. They can carry them on there belt, and check them in the pit. They can't just call for updates on the phone when there doing there job.

BTW, Even though there under one, DSI also offers them too.
