This can be done only with big favs as no one gets hurt just to keep the game to cover the + Number.

Good friend of mine used to play for the Buffalo Sabres. He wouldn't call me to give me any info but once in a while we would chat and he would tell me about some inside situation, like the atmosphere in the team, injuries... and sometimes info about other teams.

That being said, am I the only one who was thinking the 1st base umpire was favoring the White Sox last night? I'm not a fan of either team and had no wagers on that game but it seemed to me Konerko went around for a 3rd strike before hitting a HR. Later on, an Angels batter (forgot who) was called on pretty much the same 'held' swing. Then, there was a couple of strange calls at first base, both times going Chicago's way. Just something I observed, don't mean to say he was bought. Add to that 9th inning call in game 2, Angels don't have it easy.

As a teacher at UW...i've had a few of the football players in my classes over the years....even one who got drafted recently. I use to talk to them a little bit about the upcoming games and their opinions and what coaches were telling them.

I doubt this constitutes inside info but it's as close I've had and i probably will ever have.

I just try to read as many local newspapers across the net and going in posting forums...sometimes you can get info. a day ahead of time...last year I read that RB Darby was going to be out for Alabama in their bowl game and took Minnesota +4...a day later, the line was at pick 'em...
