    Default Actionbets, any news?

AB dropped from C to D- within a month or so this summer. Prior to that they had an eight year record of reliable business. Just curious where they're standing now. From my personal dealings with this book it seems a bit strange to have down way down in the basement. Are their finances back to normal, and can we expect any updates (or upgrades) on their situation?

(BTW, was this the hardest summer on record for books? It rained downgrades...)

Default D- is a little bit high.... it should be F-

They will stiff you if you win from them....they just dont pay when you win big.... they will accusse you this and that . I am still waiting for my money from them.... STAY AWAY......

I don't expect to see AB moving up in the rankings any time soon. Last time we heard from them they were justifying the fact that they were stealing their players' entire balances, including deposited money. They should be overjoyed with their 'D-' and the fact that they aren't getting ripped daily for being industry trash.

AB updated us yesterday to say they are current according to their records. But, I wouldn't want my first big 10 teamer to cash there especially if this season continues on the way it began.

AB got themselves in a messy situation and is going to have to own up to some of it before proving they are a competent sportsbook that takes responsibility for its mistakes.

I have $2k parked there + a 20% bonus. Had it sitting there for ages now & have yet to wager a cent

Am waiting for Bill to give them the all clear before I start my roll.

Don't want to run up a big balance with them & run the risk of getting stiffed

I dont think i will ever deposit there again, i just wouldnt feel safe after what happened...even if they get a C rating again.
I was lucky to get out before the mess started, but it was close.

Default Actionbet: Do the right thing... pay me you M F!!!!

They are funding their operation with my money. They have my 8935. It wont last the whole NFL's season. Bill, D- is a little too high.... give them a 'Z', i think. Piece of shit Actionbets.

I agree with you, AB is a bunch of con-artists and jokers. I cant believe what they r doing 2 their customers. Taking everyones money is totally uncalled for, at least they can do is recredit everyones acct. they have frozen or taken money from and continue to let them bet until they get to the bottom of what ever investigation they are conducting. It's not like anyone can withdraw their money anyhow. Then after they figure out who is legit & who is not-legit then act accordingly. I think it stinksshit and it's a dirty trick to do what they're doing, there has to be some kind of recourse!!!!!!

Good Luck to all who had been ****** between the butt-cheeks.

'Owning up to some of it' is open to interpretation. Is AB willing to compromise, and let SBR determine how much 'some of it' is?

these guys make so many excuses as why not to pay you it's ridiculous...just to get paid on my promo account I did with them a year ago it was ridiculous...I know it was only a promo account, but it was enough for me to know I didn't want to play with them (or do any other type of promo account again, not worth the headache)...

Oh well. No need to dig up the whole story. I'm surprised they seem content to sit at D-.

Actionbets got crushed when an inside guy gave out unapproved bonuses over and over to the same people.

This was likely $100,000 or something like that. We are not talking millions.

Actionbets fired the employee and then froze a whole bunch of accounts.

The fact that Actionbets put the blame on the players and did not take responsibility for the employee tells you everything you need to know about their finances.

If a book like WSEX, Cris, Pinny, etc had an employee cost them $100K they would fire the employee but pay the players.

Additionally, this disaster tells you management is disorganized.

In one month, Actionbets cost themselves 8 years of reputation.

They should step up to the plate, apologize, pay the players and move back to being a liable book.

We are hoping that the emotional part of this will fade away and AB will look at it on paper and say "yea, this wasn't right". I don't think the "scammer" Tshirt looks good on them and hope eventually they will come around. Regardless, a book coming off a three month payout drought isn't going to receive a C rating before the following football season.

    Wise approach.

The employees I talked to were all nice enough, but I guess it's up to the owner. Does he always manage to stay out of the picture, leaving the dirty work to his employees? I'm asking because the employees were suffering as well during that harsh period, not at all behaving like 'sorry, see ya later' scammers.

Here's some news on ActionBets. They are listed on TOW again.

I notice their contact info is ray@actionbets.com. Any relation to Ray Meyers of Action Sports fame?

    Bill,

Acton Bets was and is the worst type of scammers in that they act like they are legit and they want to do what's right, yet they rip people off and have these great stories as to why they didn't have control...blah, blah, blah...I think that's why people enjoyed seeing their downfall more than the regular downfall of a book...

    how appropriate.

there are still dozens of players begging for any word, any info at all from robberto, about the money stolen from them by betforaces and even some still waiting from betonstars.

dozens of players, whose money was stolen from them, after robberto recomended these scam outfits like No-Juice, betforaces, betonstars, BetonSports, etc, etc...

and yet, here is tow, the self proclaimed *players advocate*, once again recommending a shop that at this very moment, still refuses to give it's players THEIR money.
