    Russell Westbrook is Awful

Only reason this game was not a 15 point loss is because of how terrible Westbrook was. Another bad shooting night, 6 more turnovers, only upside was the 12 assists but there was at least 6 shots that he shouldn't have taken that allowed San Antonio to keep it close

When will this guy realize that he's just a complimentary player? Skip Bayless is 100% right. OKC would have won this game easily if Westbrook didn't turn it over late so many times and take so many bad shots throughout the game

He's now shooting 35% from the field for the series and about 68% from free throw line, meanwhile Durant is just dominating and shooting about 53% from the field. The problem is they both take the same amount of shots (about 18 per game). WTF? Durant should take 23-25 shots and westbrook should take 13-15 quality shots so at least he can shoot a high percentage

I've been saying the same thing if he'd pass the ball more to durant and the bearded clam they'd win by 20 every game. If he wants a ring he needs to stop being a ball Hogg

He has just f*cking awful basketball IQ, atrocious

He's shooting 35% from the field and it's because he takes at least 4 or 5 bad shots every single game

No just saying he has better players around him. Just doesn't seem like a team player.

he is the 5th leading scorer in the league.

if he wasnt so erratic, the rest of the team wouldnt get open shots.

they need to respect what westbrook does which opens up the thunder offense.

does he make bad decisions? sure. who doesnt?
does he take bad shots? yep. who doesnt?
could he hold back a little bit and think a little more? sure.

with that said, he is far from awful, and like i said it works for his team and they respect his play.

    Shooting Percentage

    Westbrook - 35%
    Durant - 53%

Shots per game in this series

    Westbrook - 18
    Durant - 18

If you don't see a huge, gigantic, glaring problem with this, I don't know what to tell you. Replace Westbrook with Chris Paul in this series and OKC would have won the last 3 by 20 each time and probably won 1 of the first 2 games as well

I could also add that he is 8th in the league in steals as well.

I would say 12 assists and 4 steals makes up for a couple turnovers.

OKC, move up and draft my boy Kendall Marshall to run the point and move Westbrook to the 2 where he belongs. That team is made for Marshall, unselfish player with great court vision. With their athleticism and effective bigs, they'd be what ESPN wants the Heat to be.

Yeah well its easy to say that right now. When Westbrook is hitting his shots, there is no stopping him. After the first two games in S.A. I thought he did a great job of taking his shots. Granted 5/15, 2/10, and 9/24 is horrible, but he has been organizing the offense better than he has ever in his life. Finally, OKC is looking a little more like a team and you need to give him a little credit.

Hopefully it just means he has a little more in the tank for the finals

    you really are fukin dumb.

here is what chris paul did against the Spurs.
    36.8 fg %
    4.5 turnovers per game.
    12.75 ppg

Westbrook and Durant averaged around the same amount of shots all season. They are one game away from the finals.

Shit I was not aware that Paul struggled so bad. He played great all season

Still, even with the bad shooting, Paul would take 4 or 5 fewer shots (which are all terrible shots by Westbrook) and give them to Durant who has been untouchable. That alone would result in 4-5 more points per game

Kind of hard to know that without seeing him (Marshall) play an NBA game. Maynor's been in the league 3 years and hasn't distinguished himself. Granted he missed most of this season with a knee injury, but like they say, you ain't playin' you ain't helpin'. But not going to hate, he's a Carolina boy from near my family. Just think OKC would be dynamic with a big, play making point.

I don't like Marshall being a pass first PG is good but he is sometimes not a threat to score at all is not athletic to finish at the rim and cannot shoot. The player he reminds me of most Pepe Sanchez

If you can't see that Westbrook has held back the thunder/Durant thus far then you are a moron. Granted he is a freak athlete who plays solid defense, he takes awful shots that waste possessions for the thunder.

he made so awful passes tonight in game 6..he is a good shooter
