    Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, PA

    Thinking of driving down there tonight to play some poker. Never been, was just wondering from anyone who has been there what to expect. Is the poker room good? Constant games, etc...Mods can move this to poker forum, just won't get views as quickly.

    Gorgeous harness track now with casinos
    I am sure poker room is sharp also

    Sounds good jj, have heard good things about the poker room but a 2 1/2 hour drive is steep for some poker. Gonna head down in a few hours, 2.5 hours drive is better than sitting on SBR that long unless I lose.

    Poker room there blows, it feels like you're in a dreary basement cause you basically are. Not many games going, no one plays anything higher than 1/2 NL and like one crappy TV. Lost some there per the usual, flopped second nut flush guy has the nuts then set over set, but I think I may have fcked up after that.

    I went to roulette and put down a substantial bet on red. It was crowded as hell and I couldn't see the wheel or the dealer really, just the screen that flashes the numbers. I saw 33 black flashing, walked away and left. But, now I think back and when I got there a guy was being paid for betting on 33, so I don't know if it came twice in a row or I'm an idiot and walked away before the ball was even spun. A lot of bets were still being made, I never saw him spin it. I may be an idiot and just walked away before anything happened. Nothing I can do now, it was probably black or hit black anyway, just gonna bug me that I'll never know if I fcked up.

    Nope, no hotel. Besides the poker room everything else there seems really nice. Everything is sharp, lots of places to eat that looked nice. Entertainment, hot girls all around, all that good stuff. Probably won't ever go again, poker room just kills it for me personally. Though, everyone said it was because the Sands in PA has a bad beat of almost 600K so everyone is there. Who knows, they said they haven't had a 2/5 NL game in months so not gonna drive down to play 1/2.
