Clippers and Kings playing as well. If they both had a standard one day off between the series would be in LA for 7 days. This would make the series too long.

Van Gundy said there is no excuse for LA NBA teams to play b2b's in playoffs. No excuse.

Clippers being in the playoffs, and making it to the 2nd round set the world off its axis.

The Clippers winning a playoff series might have been the first sign of the apocalypse. The Mayans might have been on to something.

crew at the staple center certainly earning their paychecks.

They already decided there would be a couple back-to-backs in the second round before the season began. Remember guys, the lockout pushed everything back and created a compacted schedule. The NBA said before the season that second-round back-to-backs are one of the things they had to do to start the Finals as close to the usual early-June date as possible.

Now the Lakers and Clippers wound up being the ones playing back-to-backs because it's the most convenient way to satisfy both the NBA and NHL. The location might have been different if the Clippers and Kings were eliminated, but the NBA was going to have second-round back-to-backs no matter what.

Seems pretty strange. If they had to do back to backs you would think they would do it for everyone.

Like first round you play a back to back, day off to travel, another back to back. And be done with it. That saves you like a week right there.

I don't get the need for back to backs. Game 6 of this scheduled for a Wednesday and Game 7 for a Sunday. If they have the need to get the playoffs done as quickly as possible, why is there 4 days between game 6 and 7, but 0 between games 3 and 4.

Back to backs then 4 days between games 6 and 7. Something could have been done here. Its like feeding me a weeks worth of meal in one day then spreading one meal out for two weeks the next time. Stupid. Ration better is the only answer.
