I made I think a valid log (but it got lost in all the JJ crap) has anyone had any stories where they got drunk and overbet. as I stated b-4 I on a couple of occasions lost a first half line was a little lit and wound up over betting the 2nd hald I.E first half lost 3 units bet 20 units second half only to wake up at 2am check the ESPN news ticker to find out I had lost the second bet. Thats why casinos give you all the free booze you can stomach. If anyone of you guys had similar horror stories please share I think Its a valuable lesson.

Yea i guess thats why the drinks are free at the casinos. The hotter you get the more the cocktail waitress comes around. I personally have found out that baseball and gambling dont mix. I was on a 5 week winning streak with Football and I decided to play some MLB. That was the end of the streak. I couldnt win a Baseball game and then when I jumped back on football that streak was dead as well. No more bases for me.

I'm surprised more sportsbooks don't offer wine or beer-of-the-month memberships as their bonus. Some decent offers would definitely bring in desired players. Maybe we will see Beerbets.com?

I dont know but whenever i'm at a sportsbook at a casino in vegas its a pain in the ass to get free drinks....i'm lucky to even get some free drink tickets at the sportsbook itself...but whenever i'm at the tables or slots....you have a waitress every minute asking if you want a drink

i don't know if they could do it legaly bill, because you have to be 21 in the states and, you only have to be 18 to gamble offshore. if they screwed up and sent a minor booze one time. that could be a big problem.

Iv'e actually seen it offered already. VIP had it as one of their rewards prizes. You probably get a credit and have to order it just like you would normally.

I got drunk about 10 years ago at the racetrack and when I sobered up discovered I had blown my entire paycheck without even remembering it. Never again.

I think its all emotions ... drunk, betting on your own team, chasing losses (worry/disappointemnnt being the emotion there), sporting excitemnet about a big game (somehow in the final minutes before kick-off you always feel its going to be a classic), etc

It really depends on your purpose in betting. If you are doing it for entertainment, booze it up, and just set some limits that you'll respect even when drunk. Otherwise, take betting seriously and stay off the sauce. It seems like a pretty simple choice, to me.

I do a little of both. When I am betting serious, I am super-sober and super serious about it, at least in my own mind. But, sometimes I also gamble to unwind, when I significantly lower my bets to a level that is just "blowing off steam". This method has worked fine for me so far. The only drawback I've found is the "next day hangover". I am completely useless, gambling-wise, the next day after drinking. So, now if I drink, I've got to give myself a one day "bouce back" to get my mind clear again.
