It does not work, I know guys on their 3rd marriages because they are heavy gamblers. It is not accepted with women. I got married at 18, 20 and 22 and they just did not work and had a few girlfriends since then and it is too much work to alwys lie to them. Also way too much committent and you cannot watch the games on Sunday. I use to remember when I was married and we went to the Mother In Law's house on Sundays which was fine but every fukkin time the diner started it was kickoff to the games and could not fukkin stand it and missed way too much of the action. No TV's were allowed during diner which is bull shit, a few times I suggested to move the table into the family room so we can watch the games while we were eating and everyone thought that was stupid. I eventually divorced the Bitch because of the Sunday committent and I wanted to watch the games instead of fukkin bull shit all day with the family.

Secondly you always have to hide money, sneak the bets in and pretend not to get excited while watching sports, I remember so many times the chick would be next to me and I pretended to be sleeping during the games but was fukkin sweating the game out by listening to it. I had to appear to be relaxed and show no interest.

Also sneaking papers uner my shirt ( The NY Post, Sports Eye, Nevada Schedule Books) was a pain in the ass and had to hide any gambling material in my pad all the time.

Sneaking was too much work and I wanted to live free and gamble. Now it is great, no women, just once n a while I pay hookers from Newark to take care of me.

I bet most guys here are single like me or if married hiding their gambling from their wives which is like a second job.

Younger girls these days are more understanding.. My girlfriend cheers on the teams that I have money on.. I've been dating her for 2 years and I really can say I don't think its ever caused a problem in our relationship.. I have a fulltime job and probally spend 30 hrs a week on handicapping.. What happens when you have to hide the loans pal from your wife? I have been there before, paid off loan managers so they would not send mail to the home and payment books to the home. How do you go to the banks and gets loans without your wife knowing? I hid it pretty good but always one loan eventually got through the mail and I was questioned and made up lies why I needed the loan. The best one I use to use is "my buddy needed it" and I did not want to touch the family funds and pretended to apologize.

How about the best part when you get nabbed for good and she finds out you owe 20 Dimes out and then you fake cry and say you will never gamble again. I did it all and use to lie about going to GA but instead wasd at the fukkin track taking shots with $100 Doubles. Its all a lie when your married.

My wife knows I wager. She sits right here and watches me cap the games on the computer and with the preview books I bought last month.

She told me she dont care that I do it as long as I dont tap into our funds. Which I dont, as I have a large enough bankroll to handle all my bets.

Hiding it was half the fun and was a gamble itself. I remember when I was 21 and was suppose to be working everyday I went to the track instead and my ex wifes dad nabbed me a few times as he use to go but was a small timer and told me I do not belong there. I had a $400 win bet going at the time on a 3-5 shot and gave him the ticket as a gift and thumped my chest at him. The bet won but the marriage lost as he poisened it and told her I was a compulsive gambler.

Some wanted to know about my 3 wives, not much to say but here is a brief summary.

Wife 1: Met her when I was 16 after I got thrown out of school for running football tickets business, she was nice, Italian and smart. We dated for 2 years and at 18 got married.
