I believe he has tried the attempt a while ago, http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2010/...reports-it-fo/
Us local people had a feeling ever since that car accident, he probably would do something like that again. Depression is a serious issue.

I'm sure everywhere else except here in the SD county. I work just a few blocks from his home and now that the summer is near, fans will be stopping by his home. His front yard is the beach and so he would come out to interact with fans. We won't be getting that anymore.

Didn't feel like reading three pages, but what the hell is going on with all the deaths from the 1994 Chargers team?

    RIP Junior Seau

Guy was obviously dealing with seriously depressing emotional issues. It's extremely sad he couldn't reach out and get the help he needed, and felt that taking his own life was the only way out, it never is.

The football world has lost one of the great players who ever played the game. Peace and comfort to his family.

Ex-Chicago bear Dave Duerson committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest also. He did that because he wanted to donate his brain to science to study the effects of concussions.

Chest so he doesn't disrespect his own face. Able to have open casket etc. Mobsters did this too usually when they killed someone.

    That makes sense.

I get the impression things were rocky between him and his girl so I am suspicious of her.

I just looked over my collection of sports cards and have a Junior Seau rookie card signed by him. I'm going to hold on to it and pass it to my first boy.

    Very interesting..
beyond odd - i smell a Dateline story with Keith Morrison a few years from now.

Suicide hurts other people more than the person who does it. It is like a selfish act if you think about it.

The NFL made him what he was, otherwise he was just another person. Maybe they should play without helmets or facemasks, they will quit hitting with their head.

Horrible story athough I feel much more sorry for a person who was murdered or someone dying in a sort of accident that was not his or her fault

This was totally preventable if suicide ..nobody knows what concussions do to your mind, well at least not us

Nobody forced Junior to play football if that as the cause, they know the risks

Many dont care because they have no other means to make money

So many angles here..........I feel bad for his Mom and kids the most

couple of these are just bad luck...

"In 1996, RB Rodney Culver and his wife were aboard ValuJet FLight 592 from Miami to Atlanta when it crashed into the Everglades, killing all on board."

"In 1998, LB Doug Miller was struck by lightning while camping in Colorado. CPR was being performed on Miller when he was struck again by a second bolt."

what are the chances you get struck by lightning twice in one day? kinda ironic that your team's symbol is a lightning bolt.

Many cared about him because he made a positive impact on their lives, but if you killed yourself no one would.
