    Default Easybets - Update

    Dear sir,

Easybets has recently restructured its on-line gaming operation and as a result will focus on the Asian market. Therefore it is with great regret that all UK accounts will be closed with immediate effect. Clients will have the opportunity to have all pending bets honoured unless otherwise instructed. All account balances will be returned within the next few days.

For more information about the processing of the pending bets and remaining balance, please contact the account department by email at accounts@easybets.com .

Should you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us.

    Regards

    Rolemand,

If you get that money you will be in better shape than their US players. Anyone with an MLB or any other pending bet that is about to cash is going to get cheated.

BetOnSports PLC-owned EasyBets (SBR rating D-) cheats players out of winning MLB future wagers. The sportsbook has alerted it’s US-based clients that their accounts will be closed and all pending wagers will be voided.

Player: "I just received this e-mail from easybets.  It’s a real shocker, and doesn’t seem legal or ethical.  I need your advice and help.  How can they cancel pending bets (such as several baseball season future that are about to pay off, for example)?  Are these not contracts they have entered into and must honor?  If they decide to cease dealing with people in the US, why can’t they stop accepting new bets, but still pay ones they have accepted upon settlement?"

    Rolemand and Bill--

Thanks for updates here. I am a US EasyBets customer that got robbed of several winning MLB futures wagers. I made the wagers long before the BOS scandal.

The last couple years, I had gotten paid by EasyBets on MLB futures - they always had great lines. Had I known BOS bought them, I would have stayed away from them this year.

Keep us udpated on what happens with EasyBets payouts and I'll do the same. So far, they haven't responded to my emails.

    Welcome, FloatTrip

Sorry to hear about your lost wagers. But maybe you can make up some of that by winning in the Beat the Prick Contest!

Is the first post correct regarding UK players or should it read US players. The news section on SBR states US.

Thanks guys. Hopefully those who are about to lose their wallets on pending wagers are ALSO getting this same message.

To bad everyone doesn't find this place before they sign up with a betting site.

    Rolemand-
Did you sign up at EasyBets as a UK resident or a US resident?

The reason I ask is because their email to you mentioned UK customers. I am wondering why they are responding to your email, but they haven't responded to 3 of mine now.

They had better pay back the pending balances of US customers, too. THey have the money right in front of them.

There is no excuse, and there is no reason why we can't get paid right away. All they have to do is send the deposits back to our NEteller accounts.

    thx

What happen to the whole Easy Bets will continue to operate and fairly despite this BOS situation. Doesn't look like it is happening. Even screwing over UK players, unreal.

I'm not sure if it is UK players as well or if that was a typo by the Easybets customer service rep in Rolemand's email.

First have to hear if Rolemand is a UK customer or a US customer of EasyBets.

What I cannot understand is how these BOS execs can pull all this while the UK authorities just let them commit fraud after fraud even against their own citizens.

If I ripped off people like this with my business in the US, I'd give it 2 weeks before there would be an arrest warrant hanging on my head.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the industry if a rogue outfit like this can simply close US accounts and keep the money while still taking bets from others customers around the world.

Isn't there some gaming commission that can take them down?

Is the UK the ideal place to rip off consumers? Perhaps people can just start bogus charity sites in the UK such as "Feed the African Children" and just pocket all the donations while the UK authorities sit back and laugh at it all.

Incredible that this ripoff company can go on with business as usual in an industrialized country without any penalty at all.

They are still taking bets on their website. They need to refund all deposits from US customers. If a company in the US did this, the executives would have a bounty on their head - and I don't mean from the authorities. They would be looking at a very short life.

The news gets worse. They might have invested our money in Asian Real Estate. I cannot believe these board of directors are not arrested for all this.

    From Gambling911.com:
BetonSports Easybets brand confiscating US player accounts
For those of you that believe BetonSports is going to pay you, consider the following in regard to their intentions:

It's only brand that remains open and has been taking bets since BetonSports was indicted two months ago, EasyBets, has begun confiscating US player funds and making all future bets void.

It is becoming clearer by the day that BetonSports Board of Directors led by one Clive Archer has little intention of paying customers, despite what they continue to tell people over the phone.

Roberto Castiglioni of TheOnlineWire.com was scheduled to meet with two respected UK attorneys this coming week to discuss legal actions against BetonSports and its Board of Directors, as well as high ranking employees who may be liable. One customer is already prepared to take legal action.

Sources close to Gambling911.com have also suggested that board members may have invested customer funds into an Asian real estate deal, hence the reason none of the money appears to be available.

    Default EasyBets pulls a surprise

Got a shocker today when Neteller informed me that EasyBets paid back my voided wagering balance back to my Neteller account.

They stiffed me out of a lots winning money, but after they didn't respond to 5 emails from me, I consider myself lucky that rogue outfit gave me back my deposit money.

    Good luck to all!

Well it took awhile for this US player to get paid but I did get my money including a win on a wager that had not yet concluded at the time my account was turned off.

Just wanted to keep everyone updated.

GL to anyone who hasn't been paid yet. I got no indication from them they were trying to stiff me more that it was an error that they originally voided my open wager and then later paid it.
