Key injury for first week (of backup player, not season) tends to inspire the team to make an extra effort, as well as plant the seeds of underestimation in the other team's minds. No such effect for second week of injury.
Strangely, my own system showed a 63% chance of PIT covering the 5 pt spread, and also a 63% chance for the 1 pt spread without Roethlisberger, even though this is based on different data sets. Twilight zone-ish.
GL for the weekend.

Luck? Both Miami TD's came after questionable calls. The first a missed defensive interference call on MIA (that gave MIA great field position and a quick TD), the second an interception in the endzone, where the PIT defender juggled the ball, but had possession when he came down inside the endzone and maintained possession afterwards. Next play was another MIA TD! Add the fumble at the 1-yard line on first and goal, and the only 'luck' PIT had all night (before Culpepper selfdestructed) was a 1 yard difference between a TD and a first and goal. Yet that play, and the unseen red flag, is what the media are buzzing about...

Well spotted DH,
I too thought the pass interference, or lack thereof, was a horrendous call. Particularly with the lardass linesman standing right there on the touchline when it happened.
And as for that interception, well i thought i must of been seeing things, that in fact he dropped the ball or something. Again lardass was standing right there, in plain view. Can't understand that call at all.

I remember betting a Jags vs Steelers game years ago where they withheld info. about Brunell not playing...Jags got fined, but I lost my bet...

I hate when a QB goes down in mid game. It always seems the backup comes in and ralleys the team to a win or a backdoor cover against me. So Id much rather the starting QB stay in the games I bet on.Originally Posted by jjgold
