They were the outfit that sent out the e-mails semi-pretending to be Hollywood and Betmaker. The e-mails started off referencing those two books but all the links took you to Bet Empire. I guess they hoped people wouldn't notice they weren't playing at Hollywood (???)

This book is/was financed by BetUs. Empire will tell you they bought back the company but the marketing that Mudcat mentioned has BetUs written all over it, al la copycat fraud book PlayDSI.
