Does Jamie Moyer get a start in 2012?

I am excited about baseball getting started soon and thought it would be cool if Moyer would be able to start a game or two. it's a long season and I could see him filling in for someone in the Rockies rotation this year. Would be cool to see what the old guy has left beyond middle releif. Anyone know what the rocking are hoping to get out of him if anything?

I don't think he'll make it out of spring training, but if he is willing to toil around AAA a little bit he might get an opportunity

thing i'm worried about for him, is that he depends so so so so much on location and control, and that is always the last thing to come back after the Tommy John surgery. I'll surely be rooting for him though

If he starts a home game in Colorado... the books may just omit the total.

I think he'll get a start in 2012. I agree that the bullpen may be where he ends up. He is such a soft tosser that i expect his location will come back fairly quickly.

I don't think he'll even get on the 25 man roster

Moyer in the starting rotation to start the season, will get first start April 7. 2.77 ERA this spring, should be inspiring to the old timers out there

    4-17-2012:

Jamie Moyer turned in a vintage performance in becoming the oldest pitcher to ever win a major league game. The 49-year-old Moyer threw seven masterful innings and Dexter Fowler hit a two-run homer, helping the Colorado Rockies hold on for a 5-3 win over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night.
Moyer (1-2) was sharp all evening as he picked up his 268th career win, tying him with Hall of Famer Jim Palmer for 34th on the career list.
