Here's a list from my database of accounts I closed because the limits imposed made it a waste of my time to continue with them. I don't think the list is complete either as there are a few at the end which I have now added manually.
    12Bet
    5 Dimes
    Bet365
    Betandwin
    888 Sports
    Bet At Home
    Bet 1128
    BetClic
    Betsafe
    Betworks
    Blue Square
    BoDog
    Boylesports
    Betfred
    Betinternet
    Betsson
    Bet UK
    Canbet.com
    Carribean Sports
    Cascade
    Davidson Sportsbetting
    Centrebet
    Eurobet
    Expekt
    Fonbet
    Gamebookers
    Hollywood Sportsbook
    Intertops
    IAS
    Ladbrokes
    Mansion88
    Paddy Power
    PartyBets
    Skybet
    Sportingbet AUS
    Sportingbet UK
    Sportsbetting
    Sportsbook (Hurley)
    Stan James

    GoalWin

    Unibet

    William Hill

    Victor Chandler

VIP (the only one who actually booted me out)

Then there was 188Bet which recently booted out all Aussies but had put me on limits at least for tennis.

And two books which have severely limited me on sports but I retain for betting on racing:
    Luxbet
    Sportsbet

And then there's Betstar which has limited me on racing at least but I retain for betting even money footy lines.

Thanks , as I said I did think there were some books missing from that list ... most likely the earliest ones at which I came a cropper and certainly William Hill is one. Every bet I selected for over a fortnight showed max bet: $0 before the penny dropped!

Sure I maintain an account with Greek. They do have low limits such as $300 or even $200 I found this week for tennis but I believe that's universal, not my account.

I removed Bookmaker/DSI and CRIS from the list even though I did find some low limits on what I was betting at all three but again I'm not sure if that was universal or just my account.

Why do you ask about SBO? I've not heard of them limiting players and I certainly still bet there.

    They claim not to limit
Biggest drawback of them is lower max bets for usa sports except NBA , NFL, MLB close to game time and in running

    Juice a little high though

    Tennis smaller limits..juice not great

You're right. I retain the account primarily for soccer of course. Rarely do I find them competitive on US sports but they will take a decent sized bet. They do post reasonable odds for tennis sets but limits are low.

JJ why the scepticism about people being limited? I don't know anyone who can bet with the UK or Aussie books. Everyone I know has been closed down.

I do only bet tennis however. I've no idea if bookies treat punters who bet on other sports as dreadfully as they treat tennis bettors?

Just because I know a certain player doesn't like to play against a certain other player, I am not allowed to bet. Instead of the bookie learning such vital information as this, they chose to employ a load of Betradar monkeys who just copy prices from other firms and cut any account that shows the first sign of having the slightest clue.

And no, I'm not an arber or a cheat. I can't stand the arbers - they've made the bookies shit scared of taking bets and ruined it for everyone! I just do my homework (unike the bookies), have good discipline and bet when I feel I have an edge.

I'm with you Joey. It was principally tennis which brought me undone with most of those books. And I share your view about the arbers.

Why are you guys not betting at betfair/Pinnacle if your so good in tennis??

They take as much as you like

My list pretty much mirrors Hareeba's; no doubt as a result or my arbing days.....Pinnacle, Greek and BetFair are the only books that did not impose stringent limits or toss me outright.....

Betfair has always been my principal tennis book. But a lot of that has come by posting offers when the odds I want haven't been available elsewhere. Many of them getting matched closer to game time but liquidity can take a while to build up.

Pinnacle open with very low limits - generally $250 and you know what happens when you take that.

  16. #86

Of course I am (and am sure Hareeba is too) betting at Betfair and Pinnacle. Thank **** for both of them or I'd be in a different business altogether.

Both of Betfair and Pinnacle are beatable - but as I noted in my post above, I like to bet when I have an edge. There's no liquidity in the early Betfair markets and by the time there is some liquidity the market has settled at the correct price and become effiecnt. And it's similar with Pinnacle - by the time Pinnacle have raised there limits to a worthwhile number their line is more or less spot on, making it difficult to find a worthwhile edge to bet.

Again, I'm only talking tennis. I've no idea with other sports. I think profitable gambling is all about knowing more about the subject you are betting on than the person you are betting against and I'm fairly certain Pinnacle know far more about soccer/NFL etc than any of us will ever know, so that's why I've no interest in betting other sports other than tennis, which I'm happy to back myself to do - it's just a damn shame that these scumbag UK/Euro/Aussie books won't back their own odds compilers to take on the market with their own opinions.

  17. #87

Of course I understand that they are running a business and need to make money. But then don't sell the ******* dream that you are allowed to win to people. YOU SIMPLY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WIN with UK books and people should be made aware of this.

  18. #88

And to wrap up my rant before I go to bed... Bookies should bloody well welcome the arbers. Arbers provide liquidity, they allow bookmakers' traders to build the positions they want and let them bet their opinions against the market. However, the problem is that bookies won't let their traders trade. They won't back their own odds compilers in the markets they are employed to be specialists in. They are actually saying to their traders/line makers: "We don't actually trust your view, so we are going to copy B-*******-Win and you can sit there with your garden sheers waiting to chop any account that even thinks about taking a value price."

  19. #89

The bookies will get their comeuppance one day. Surely it's only a matter of time until all the losing betting accounts are being used by the winning punters?

There's a business idea for you JJ. Buy up all the losing betting accounts you can get your hands on and sell them to the winning punters - the losers will sell (they need the money), the winning punters will buy the accounts (they need the outs). Idea might need a bit more thought but I'll leave it with you ;-) gn

I still wonder why JJ keeps making threads like these... No chance of ever getting limited, cause dude is a straight up broke **** who is a 50/50 capper.

  27. #97

I was limited on baseball props at a book(cant remember the name off hand..) about 4-5 years ago. My wager limit was a dollar. Lol

  28. #98

Bet steam and you get the boot.

First time I've heard them limit anyone. What sports did you bet and how low limits did they impose?

  30. #100

3-5 years or so I used to have unlimited wagering bets. $5000-$10000 easily. These days the books cap you at $500 or so. I haven't wasted putting money in a sportsbook for over a year now. Screw them!!!

  31. #101

Would be interested to know who has been limited/booted after betting only major US sports (full-game bets only, no steam chasing or bonus whoring).

  32. #102

Welcome to PT standards, i guess sbr dudes post under JJGold whenever they feel like it...no way this is 1 fking person.

I was limited at these books; Tempobet, Betsson, Tipico, Bwin.

After limit issues, never used sh*tty books again. Sticking with A books & exchange so no limit problem.

But why not get what you can out of the rest of the UK books before the limit you? Don't leave all those $ on the table.
