Another reason it went sour for Coochy was the rain. Hawks are the best kicking side in the league and play highly skilled possession footy, with rain it becomes a totally different game. Rain brings the two teams closer and suits geelong perfectly who play a bash and crash style in slippery conditions very well with their big bodies around the contest.

coochys bet would of won easy there been no rain. coochy knows whats going on. keep up your good work cooch. u were extremely unlucky.

We need to get on the same sides Coocher.

I know the result is really all that matters, but we were arguably both right on the Power and the Cats games, where we were on opposite sides. Both our styles and angles made sense and both games could have gone either way.

I don't think its fair to say Hawks had it won and it was a bad beat, which I'm seeing a lot of in here. On the ML they missed plenty of chances, but the cover was always close all game.

My sympathy for the Hawks was lessoned when I saw Franklin trying to roll the ball through in the wet from 40m out to win the game. Thats just a piss poor decision from a champion player. He pulled a few stunts like that last week too and didn't cost his team the game. This time he did.

I hate it when you talk yourself into being overconfident on a play... I did that a few times last year and I remember in one brutal twist where I expecting a huge weekend, I lost 2 x 5x plays in the same weekend. That hurt! (but still ended up +70 documented units on the year, much more in reality).

Why did Coochy not factor in the rain??

A seasoned AFL capper would do this??

    1. Because you can watch the weather report in the morning and Melbourne's actual weather will change 8 times in a day. Can't factor in Melb weather until about an hour before the match starts. You can try but you'll often be wrong. Even an hour before, people ask those of us in Melb to go outside and look for clouds, what the wind is like, etc. That's how unpredictable the weather is here.

    2. If you wait that long to bet, you'll usually get a worse line. Not always, but often. Same as with totals.

That's just the way it is.

Light rain was factored in. Wasn't enough rain to effect the outcome over 4 quarters anyway.

Gee I agree with u. Let's not be on different sides on big plays from now on

Over 100 plays in same circumstances we would be up, just wasn't meant to be this time...

Bottom line imo if hawks kicked str8 early in 4th term we would be celebrating a easy cover. Instead we lament in the short term over what was...

And JJ how about u worry bout how ur gonna get that SS of yours out of the red before waging Vendettas of guys up 90+ units..

I remember that boxing play. That was an epic burial.

You have made enough to get that loss back 10x over on AFL from me and I'm yet to have seen a cheque. Whats going on pal? What happened to the trust? I give out my exclusive plays on credit and get Venditto'ed.

actually, this loss sent me on a downward spiral that just kept me losing and losing

it all started with this tip

sometimes it's not the tip itself but the consequences and the momentum

    ouch

Always try and remember baskets that its not the sportsbook that beats the player, its the player that beats the player and that's what the books rely on.

Haven't made another wager since this and won't (as much as I want to) until I feel ready again. I know natural tendency is to want to chase but discipline is key if ur gonna be successful in this game.

Without it ur just another guy losing his shirt. I thought u got it back with the Krumm play anyway

yes, got a decent part back.... but from then on I went on a downward spiral which culminated in today and lots of sick close beats

not your fault at all. never was. I accept full responsibility. I was just looking for an easy winner

anyways, it was akin to a top tennis player facing a scare in a tennis match against some unranked player... the top player didn't lose, but that match put a seed of doubt and losing ... that carried over to when he faced critical matches later on in the tourney... and then got butt slammed

again, all me. and, oh yeah, fukk the cubs for winning just that one inning out of 6 ... where their fat ass catcher gets a leadoff triple... I mean, the odds on that fukkk ass getting a triple to start the inning..... fukkking fa**ggs
