    Sick of prop bets

I can't count how many times I bet an nba prop bet on an over of whatever and the player gets hurt, ejected, or foul trouble and doesn't play much. Tonight I had Serge Ibaka ov 16 pts/boards. Only NBA prop I bet tonight. I watch the first half of the game and he has 8 at the half. I'm like okay not bad. I go to the bank and the store and when i come back I turn the game on and no Ibaka? He didn't have anymore fouls then he did at the half. They didn't say one thing about him. Now I didn't get home till almost the fourth quarter so they might have said something earlier. Does anyone know what happened to him?

it happens man, been there many times as props is all i bet...i never bet games in nba

lose by0.5-1 pt, 2 pts away and never plays the 4th quarter, ect...and yeah injuries too

hang in there, playoffs will be better with no back-to-backs...my strategy is i only bet +100 props and worse, i wont even bet -105 props, just my thing i guess...it really working out good...

my advice is hang in there, the wins will come bud, betting props is very tough sometimes but ur definatley NOT alone in frustration

    GOODLUCK

i rarely ever did props until the past couple of weeks. I've had pretty good success, I usually take one a day that I feel very confident about. If you can find players in good streaks you can profit off of prop bets. Books can be slow to catch up. Aldridge and David Lee props have been flying over for me the past 2 weeks.

yeah the same with mike dunleavy over 12 pts. he had a run over 10/12 games over 12 pts but bodog still had his prop at over/under 12.5 even now with defino hurt which means more shots and minutes for him.

props are fun as hell, but they are not for a proper punter searching for value, unless you're REALLY hunting. Too much juice, imo, to have strong value, most of the time.

Let's see. If you can hit at 56% lifetime on spreads and totals you are considered an elite capper I would say. 52.3% is a breakeven if you are betting -110.

Player props you can go 60%+ just betting on the right guys. If you were playing -130 only and flat betting every time you would have to hit 56.5% to break even.

Gamblers have this get rich quick delusion, player props have low limits. Why are the limits low if there is no value? That is because books know it is easy to beat(well easy for a few people, and I imagine fantasy studs would be good at it too if they put the time in)- that is why the limits are low. Shit if it was difficult to beat- why wouldn't the limits be higher? Yeah......

props like so many things in betting require patience. But if you have the nose for it- you can find some nice streaks where players will cash for you 5+ times in a row. 8 times out of 10, 12 times out of 14(these are all actual occurrences through out this season), etc.

You have a deadly obsession with betting L.A. teams it seems pal..and now props, just and observation. I can only imagine what goes on during football season since I haven't been here yet but I imagine you firing big on Oakland weekly, hopefully I'm dead wrong on that. No worries though brah we were all young pups once eager to learn the ins and outs and get to know the world. I got a feeling you will get the hang of it soon bud. Watch out for those L.A. teams though buddy, real talk. Player props red flag boss. Breaking it down for ya.

In my country (Slovenia, Europe - Goran Dragic homeland ) we love playing these props, even at -115 or lower but we have this local that wants 3 games, so a prop and 2 extra games. So the prop is never a single. We quite good at it, also the bookie likes to fukk up lines and giving 2 or even 3 pts diffirent lines. So if Pinnacle has Pierce at 20 and our bookie gives you 22.5 we normally play under. But then he scores 23 or 24

What he said. If too much juice = sucker bet, don't play -juice. Pretty simple. Be picky. Not for action junkies.

Okay so I bet another prop bet tonight. I bet Caron Butler ov 13.5 pts. He scored 8 points playing the entire 1q. Okay so I figure he will rest and come back in for the last half of the 2nd quarter right? WRONG Clippers had a double digit lead now it is 4 and Butler sat on the bench the whole second quarter, with no fouls. Does anyone know if he got hurt?

Though I promised myself not to bet another prop on Bynum. He has screwed me too many times with dumb ass tech's and being lazy on some nights.

Okay good. Butler is back in. He scored 2 points more already. Where the hell was he in the 2nd when Sacramento went on a run? Vinny is horrible. Oh well I need 4 more points. He should get it.

Gonna happen to me again. Butler has 12 pts. Need 2 more to win and he hasn't sniffed the court in the 4th quarter after not playing in the 2nd either. They are up 17 now so I don't see them putting him back in either. Though Paul and Griffin are still in there with 5 minutes to go. Thanks Vinny DelNegro.

Playing over props at high juice or 30 or 40 cent lines is just a bad investment, gl on the games

I'm done betting over on any prop bet. I'm not kidding. I haven't looked into it but I have a feeling that betting the unders (which usually are +lines) hit at a much higher rate. I can't watch the games though and have like under 14 points on a player. That would be too nerve racking thinking that the player would go over all the time even though shit like fouls and ejections play a key.
