your a fan of the cheaters, wow

Michael bush is a stud, don't need forte now, he's more upset then they think and they won't pay him, thats why they franchised him.

He will get traded so they can get something for him

patriots have 2 1st rounders and already offered, those 2 picks, o lineman and 2 7th rounders for him

Forte is the best all around back in the game. This would make the Pats the fav to win the SB next year

Pats never had a solid back... Could be a dangerous proposition for all AFC teams if they land Forte.

Jesus Christ. If this happens, all the shit the new GM did was a waste. Him and Ray Rice are the best all around backs, hell Forte is probably a better receiving back. Michael Bush is a nice compliment to Forte, not a replacement.

If this shit happens, I'll be more than pissed. We better get Gronk - only way I don't break shit.

I'd bet the Pats to win the superbowl next year and not even hedge if this shit pops off.

  8. #8

    Not going to happen.

But if it did, the Patriots would have to ship a boat load of draft picks... The Patriots love draft picks so I doubt they would send enough.

  9. #9

"We love him, he's going to rush for a lot of yards for us," Smith told ESPN's Rachel Nichols. "It's going to work out fine."

When was the last time a Rb of this caliber was traded in his prime?

The Patriots would literally have to trade their entire roll of draft picks to get this done. I just don't see it.

If that's the case the Bears would have to strongly consider it. But I doubt this has any truth to it at all.

2 first rounders and 2 7th for Forte? No thank you. They are late round first round picks I think.

By the way d2bets, why no response to your message in your INBOX?!

  14. #14

lol no way patriots offered ONE 1st Rounder let alone TWO first rounder for a freakin RB. Bill isn't an idiot. They drafted Ridley and Vereen who both have tons of potential, Ridley showed flashes last year and that's who they will be going with this year. Pats will use those picks to improve the defense. NFL is a passing league now and value of RBs has gone down.

    Rumor is garbage.

2nd and 4th not nearly enough. 2012 and 2013 first round and late round each year, then maybe.

You guys don't understand draft picks value yet?? Forte is a great young back but he needs a new contract and is coming off an injury.....And oh yeah, he's a RB, a position you can easily find solid players in (forte is obviously better but a replacement that is adequate is very easy to find)

1 late first round pick would be about fair value.....

Think of all the past trades involving players for picks......when the Fukk has anyone been traded for multiple first rounders???

Heres a hint: It never involves a RB, and rarely ever happens period

Foster a better runner and 10X better than any back when it comes to receiving. No question about the latter.

  22. #22

Wow. I would love this trade. Look at all the weapons on offense. And the Pats will still be young. Aside from offensive line. Go Pats.

  23. #23

The Bears won't be trading Forte as they will be a strong contender this year.

not in a million years did they offer anything like that.

forte wants big money and everyone knows it's not coming from new england. they would have to pay forte more than anyone on their roster. the only way BB pays a rb that kind of money is if THE PATS get drafts picks from the bears for taking him off their hands. they can't even work out a deal with welker and he has proven his worth.

I doubt Bears get rid of him

Good RBs are easier to come by. They have a short shelf life. If they got good picks for him I could see it happening.

How does a trade work? Since he technically didn't sign the franchise contract yet. Would the pats be able to negotiate before the deal went thru? Or wAit until the trade is complete and then figure out the contract stuff. I'm assuming forte doesn't have to sign with bears beforehand since they still have control of him

  31. #31

  32. #32

They got Ocho back. What more do they need.

  33. #33

Bears need a better O Line

  34. #34

Patriots offered a 2nd and a 4th rounder for Forte?

There is just no way this happens if that is the offer.

He's worth more and what hes worth the Patriots won't give up.

  35. #35

Forte would be a perfect fit for the Patriots with not only his rushing ability but his ability to block and catch passes out of the backfield.
