Do You Keep Track Of Your Bets?
I have from time to time and then it becomes a hassle. What do you guys do after you place bets?
Write the down on paper, spreadsheet, database?
Do you think it is important to know all of your totals?

I usually start off keeping track in a spreadsheet, then I find myself forgetting to update. Then I just get to lazy to keep up with it.
So I try, then just get into the "oh forget it" mode.

Keep a notepad
Local lets me run a tab for a whole season
We discuss + or - at the end of every week to make sure we're on the same page

I keep one for base pads, occasionally I also keep one for other sports so I don't get accused of other things, spindling, tri-sex, ect...

Throw them on paper until day's out...then I bring it over to Excel at least every other night. Guilty of using the 'bet history' tabs too for convenience. Once the Spreadsheets done...save it to flash drive...and done.

Input the data into excel and graph it.
I input everything because I'm meticulous. It's really a pointless process though. If you like to complain when you're running bad you should track your bets. I guess it would help those deluded enough to think they are winners if in fact they are losers though.

I have a couple years of notebooks, The Spreadsheet is changeable but the make personal picks in the contests section is not. The best way to track your picks is to have a spreadsheet that you can input the true odds you are getting when you place the wager and it has to be entered before the game starts. Once the game starts it cant be modified or added. This way your true win/loss % and $ amount will be accurate.

I have always kept track, kept threads, kept numbers accurate and up to date win or lose. Was just hoping there might be a website with an interesting graphing process, if there isn't maybe some of the tech guys here could work on one, maybe even link it with the spreadsheet. It could be a nice addition.

I track and review every single day. Try to use that info to improve as a bettor/handicapper.

I usually just write them down on a piece of paper and plan to log them on my SBR spreadsheet but get lazy or caught up in doing too much. But im definitely gunna log all of my NFL bets this season.

A lot of people will not track because they do not want to know how much money they are losing
Many think they win when not tracking but in reality deep in the red
Track bets or do not gamble, you need to know where you are at all times

I don't touch my bankroll other than a big withdrawal now and again so I have a very easy time tracking my bottom line.
Tracking is only useful for handicapped plays as opposed to market based unless you are prepared to do an awful amount of work. Even if you decided to track your handicapped plays. If you bet a good line comparable to pinnacle/greek/bookmaker what should you record? The actual bet or the true market rate (or both?). How much of your edge is handicapping and how much is beating the market? Now you have to start thinking about the top fluc. You are costing yourself $ if you do not hit the market at it's peak. When are you going to pull the trigger on a bet? It becomes infinite.
