You're right as long as you're talking about American lagers, taco. There are some decent American ales on the market these days. Couldn't believe it years ago when I was in a pub up in Aberdeen and seeing all these Brit college kids guzzling US beers like Bud and Schlitz. They had some of the best suds on tap in that bar and these guys were drinking horse piss from Estados Unidos

Coors Light is a decent breakfast beer, Brick. Really brings those Rice Krispies to life.

But give me a Boddington's, Newcastle or Bass, something like that, any old day of the week.
