We have seen some awe-inspiring contest performances in SBR forum's history. From Aces run in Beat The Prick three years back, to Nicky Santoro's 53 unit performance over 512 ATS picks in the Team Contest, to Cabo's winning the Legendz MNF contest twice, all the way to Rjt721 betting himself at 65-1 to win the 128 Man Contest and doing it.

Some impressive stuff has happened on the board, to say the least.

It is time to pencil in a new legendary contest performance to rank among the all time greats.

What shall we title this entry, you wonder? That's simple: LVHerbie.

The SBR forum poster, an Oklahoma native that once lived in LasVegas, is coming off a poker performance for the ages. Herbie won the SBR Bodog Poker Tournament on Monday which had a field of 117 Players, then finished 2nd place of a field which hosted 144 SBR posters! If not for some untimely hands, Herbie could have very well repeated.

LVHerbie is a lock to make the Championship Event, which features the top 25 points earners through SBR's first four Bodog poker tourneys. Two events have gone by, LVHerbie delivered the most masterful performance in poker contest history through that 48 hr span. We sit at the edge of our seats in anticipation of LVHerbie's next poker performance.

Event #3 is scheduled to take place Monday March 30th at 9:05PM ET at Bodog. Players are encouraged to view the poker freeroll sign-up thread and join up as there still is plenty of time.

What happens in the event of a tie for 24th or 25th place in point standings, is it TOP 25 ot TOP 25 positions.

Example, 5 ppl are tied w/ 10 points, is it then 1-20, since 5 ppl are there or still 1-25

So top 25 positions make it, but really there are 38 ppl playing in finals due to ties at spots.

Remember when LVHerbie hit a 1100 plus dog in the SBR 128 man to move on to the next rd? It was his last play and he was getting his ass kicked. He is the reason they don't do big ML plays anymore in that contest lol

crazylou , im just wondering if sbr has any poker pros that come by this site at all, of which i can get good info from if i ever notice them being online, i know thisd is a sports betting site, but many poker pros or guys who make money consistanltly playing holdem do bet sports, if so let me know of there names so i can pm them or keep on eye out for them.

Hey thanks alot but not sure all "this sudden fame" is really due... I gambled alot in both tourneys and won a hell of alot of coin tosses (or worse... ask Louie) to build an early stack as I figured that since these were top heavy freerolls there wasn't much point in sticking around long without chips... Anyhow, I was just as likely to bust near the bottom as towards the top (which is what happened in all other freerolls I played here before an will probably happen if I'm able to play the next two) Anyhow, thanks for the five minutes of fame and (hopefully) I can go back to being mainly a lurker and occasionally pop in when I have something simi-meaningful to add or (more likely) to continue expressing my hero-worship of the real posting legends here (I.E. JJ)

LOL, yea I think I was 0-6 before hitting that crap shot... I think I would need to find a winning +1100 dog in every round to win one those...

it's funny because i never seen him post here ever. i cant recall ever seeing LV herbie post here.. i do know him however from his avatar.. i read one of his posts many months ago and never forgot him from that fat guy on a mini bike avatar.

avatars are great because it makes you not forget posters names.. that avatar is one you can never forget.
