nothing major but i wanted to place a team total bet that was -115 for an afternoon game today. i had almost 1400 in my account and wanted to do 2300 to win 2000. i have called in 1000 bets for team totals but never 2000. so i get the wager clerk and ask if i can do 2000 on this and if yes then i will deposit the 900 something dollars so i have 2300 in the account. she says i need to deposit and then she can make the wager. im like, do u wanna check if i can do 2000? and shes like 2300 for 2000, 1st deposit and then make the wager. so i do and then she tells me a minute later, sorry. max is 1000. not major, but i depsoisted that money for nothing. annoying

I can understand the frustration but given the $500 online limits I would find it hard to see any books giving you a 4x wager over the phone. I did learn something though. I didn't know they would accept $1000 wagers for Team totals. Thanks for the info Bubba.

they have a $500 limit online for series wagers as well. so i can understand the frustrations you were going thru with your displeasures bubba, because that's something that anyoned me.

its not the limit that annoyyed me. while low limits from a profesional type book isnt great, thats there right. i just wish i would have been told before i made my deposit

no john, i made the deposit making my balance 2300 but then a second later she told me i can only do 1150 to win 1000 on the under. i put the other 1000 at pinny with a slighly worse price. i dont mind having the moeny in olympic but wanted to depsoit next month to be eligable for a bonus

it was tigers under 4.5 for the day game today which was a winner but i am not bragging cause i have been on a huge slide lately. grrrrrr. my mojo is gone, gotta get it back

I've had Olympic do goofy shit like that too. Not often but once or twice. I find it's worse with late night staff than day people.

What you are describing is very bad IMO. I'd be pissed off too (except that I'm not sure, based on what you have said, if I would have gone ahead and done that deposit. I probably would have insisted on a more clear answer first. It was a simple question about betting limits. Someone should be able to answer it clearly. If not the CS person you had on the line, then a supervisor.)

i mean, i could have made her check. and insisted a double and triple check. but it was not that important to me. a more important matter, i would have. just an annoyance. still a top book but this is the 2nd time something like this happend and thought id share it.

I'm sorry you had this negative experience with a solid book. Sadly, many telephone clerks act like brain donors. Next time, you might ask her "What are your limits on this type of wager?" before sending more money. They may have to ask a supervisor, but you need this info before sending more money.

justin, i asked. i mean, i didnt say what are your limits but i made it quite clear that i wasnt sure i could bet 2000 on this. please let me know before i deposit. if english is not her 1st language i dont think its my fault. i knew she might not of understood me. if it was more important i would have asked a few more times. just a bit frustrating. i do like the book a lot though
