Yes. Use the chat feature to ask if anyone is wearing shades and you've immediately identified the weak poker players.

If this is true, then there sure are a lot of weak ass players who have won a lot of bracelets over the years. That doesn't say much for the guys and gals who don't wear shades if they're losing to a bunch of sunglasses wearing fools.

Somebody that looks at their cards as soon as they dealt to them. Also, people who recheck their hand after the cards have come out. You should always know what you have.

You've no doubt reached this conclusion after countless hours at the table playing Moneymaker or Raymer without their shades, right?

I have seen Phil Ivey and Daniel N, where shades before, they don't do it all the time, but have in the past. Chip Reese was wearing at World Series this year. I agree most of the big cash game players don't. If you are the best .001% in the world likely doesn't matter too much one way or the other. And a lot of the best talk a lot so it helps them engage better w/o shades.

Phil Ivey wore glasses one time in his life, and I doubt you were there to see it.

TJ Cloutier actually recommends that first strategy - I can see the pros and cons either way.
I personally am amused by people who wear sunglasses in a 3/6 game or something, but I don't find those players to be any weaker overall. They are neither easier nor more difficult to read, IMO.

I wear cheaters sometimes, but only because I don't want to ask the guy across the table to hold my cards up so I can see them at that distance. Damn these old eyes

There then has to be something to wearing shades, is it overrated or does it really help hide emotions? I think other body parts give away more myself (hands)

The sign of a true fish is the guy who wears shades at a LIMIT table.
