Why do black people hate to gamble???
Boys, i swear i am not kidding.. i've known 68 black guys in my life and only 1 liked to gamble. his name was Ronny.. he loved parlays. the other 67 didn't want to know anything about it. And they all loved sports.
All my Italian friends i have gamble... 96% of my jewish friends love to gamble.. Shlomo Bernstein and Jeff Cohen are the only ones that hate it. My greek friends love it. Even the french guys here. But ask any of my black friends to gamble on sports, and forget it. They hate it with a passion.
i bet there are not more than 1 or 2 sbr posters here out of 342 posters who are black... why is this?
This is NOT a coincidence.

Many come from difficult economic situations, there for expendable/discretionary income
is often times lacking.

when I went to the racetrack here for the first time a few weeks ago it was about 60% black people, mostly older then 60%....
most of the younger black people that I know L-O-V-E to gamble
everyday I see alot of promising young kids...
gamble their lives by hanging on the wrong corner with their older drug dealer brothers, uncles and cousins\
gamble with getting pregnant with unprotected sex
gamble with getting locked up
gamble with their future by dropping out of school around 7th grade...
the long term odds are stack against them and the VIG is vicious

ok, besides throwing dice and besides charles barkley.. and as for archie, of course you will see blacks at track.. you have a lot of blacks in your area. what do you expect to see, whites there only??
where i am from.. ONLY 1 black guy i know gambles. the rest don't even want to hear about it.. it don't interest them at all.

Someone needs to make an official list of the attention whoring techniques and number them. The old: make-a-clearly-incorrect-racial-stereotype-so-people-will-feel-an-itch-to-correct-you would be up there.
This is a slight variation from Nicky's main technique I have seen. The: name-something-that-is-true-of-you-but-is-clearly-not-true-of-everyone-and-say-it's-true-of-everyone.

When I worked at Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, there were PLENTY of regulars that were black. Would come in with money they couldn't afford to lose and piss it away on blackjack, same as all the other races.
Can't say I agree with you at all Nicky... I've seen one too many paychecks being flushed down the drain.

I know a good amount of Black guys here where I live. I am close to two of them, the others I just know. Not one of them gambles. They all know I gamble daily and I am always either calling in my bets or on line doing it.. They have no idea how it works and have no interest in it. I am sure there are many Blacks that do gamble though..I just don't know any..

does the Mega Millions lottery count? Gambling is a class thing. The underclasses gamble on lotteries, dogs, bingo, horses, etc. The rich gamble on stocks, futures, elite horses(derbies), and private auctions. It is not a race thing, it is a class thing. Leave race out of it.

davey, then how do you explain my buddy ronny who is the only black guy i ever met that loves to gamble? of course you will see people in Inglewood gamble and in chi archie's area cause it's 94% black. go to a racetrack where the city is 50-50 white and black and i assure you the track will have 97% white..
don't tell me there are all blacks at track like you and archie when whole area is black. of course it will all be black.. there's no other way it can be.

This logic makes no sense.
You can't argue that blacks don't like to gamble, and then when casinos in bad areas flourish because of black contributions (every casino in California was in a bad area... whenever I played poker I always had to look over my shoulder walking out of these places), say that "of course there are blacks there".
If black people did not like to gamble, wouldn't these casinos go out of business? Why would they be flourishing?

When I used to go to an Indian Casino, there would be these same two black women playing at 4-card poker table every single time. Theyd have a large wad of $100s and sit there playing for hours.

Uhh... maybe in Richie's neighborhood.
I've been to several OTB's all around the City (white and non-white areas), I barely remember seeing blacks at them. Mostly old retired white guys with nothing to do but blow their savings all day with each other.
It's like an SBR retirement community.

the proof is AC.. go there and despite casinos being in a very black neighborhood, there are maybe 2 blacks in each casino.. and all white.. if that is not proof enough, then i dont know what is.
i'm telling you boys, blacks hate to gamble.. ronny is the only black guy in mtl i ever met that likes to gamble. the rest want to hear nothing about it.

Nicky, they gamble all the time, just not on sports.
Everytime they have a crack deal going down, they are gambling with their lives. Will they get mugged, shot or arrested, or will nothing happen? Its all a gamble.

we're at 4 now.. but 4 out of 50 million are not convincing #'s.. plus i have my buddy ronny out of 68 black friends of mine.. but i have come across 2,968 non black gamblers here, but ronny is the only black guy i know that gamble.. him and those 4 black athletes..
