Duke has won with smoke and mirrors all year, along with help from the zebras. This wont get it done against Nova. Nova is faster, quicker, stronger, tougher.....superior in every way physically basically. I have had this game circled since the brackets came out and as much as I hate Duke and wanted to see them lose to Texas last night, I wanted this matchup so I could make money.

Jay Wright will spread the court and drive as Texas did so effectively in the 2nd half last night. Nova does not have one key player that Duke can game plan for like they did with AJ Abrams. They may keep it close for the first half but will not be able to hold up against the wave of athletes that they will see.

I agree that nova definately has an advantage and the line is backwards, but don't be surprised if the Devils squeak it out. Nova doesn't have the big man inside that can exploit Duke's weaknesses. Duke will shoot with Nova and make it for a close game.

Duke's weakness is that they do not have many talented players. If they spread the court and drive relentlessly, which I expect them too, I dont see Duke holding up.

Duke does not have any great shooters other than Singler who tends to run hot and cold. They only have one guy who will be able to create his own shot vs Nova (Henderson) and he is all right hand. Shade him left and he is not effective.

This is gold.

you can't underestimate Scheyer and Nolan Smith. Sure the guys aren't world class athletes, but they can knock it down.

I can't wait to watch this game though.

Scheyer has shot better of late, I will give you that. He makes the big ones but is not a guy that is going to hit 5+ 3s or anything. He is going to be worn down just getting the ball up court against the guys Nova will send at him. Look for him to be pressured all game.

However, Smith is a horrible shooter. I hope they let him shoot all day.

Once texas pulled their head out of their ass and spread the floor on duke they cut right into the lead. If that duck ward can dissect the duke D and get to the rim than I see a handful of nova players doing the same. It will open up looks for stokes and co from the perimeter as well as cunnigham mid range jumper. I think this is a bad matchup for duke.
