The new edition of Madden was released today. How many of you went out right away and picked up a copy? If you dont already have it, will you be getting it.

I will probably get it, but Im in no rush to get out there and get me a copy.

i did hear there was a town of 67 people that made today a town holiday though, so needless say it's a really big deal somewhere in the country.

My wife was at best buy and they were sold out she said. I wasnt going to go get it yet but she was going to surprise me with it

my friend got it and i just played it last night on his xbox360, was pretty nice. I already had high expectations for it so i can't rave on and on about it, but it was entertaining to say the least. I will probably get one when the PS3 comes out, i've already pre-ordered one and now patiently waiting...

I don't want to Madden-bash, but the game hasn't gotten much better... I'm worried this year won't clean up some stupid issues. I'm on the 'buy it one year later' plan with EA games, as they aren't worth 50$ because they become too easy to get good at too fast (in franchise-type mode). I refuse to pay for xbox live anymore due to people dumping their connect if they are losing, also.

It's a shame EA got the exclusive for the NFL. Sega was coming along nicely at building a complete package of a football game - and their price was definitly more worth it IMO.

I downloaded it off their site at midnight =D nothing beats computer games in graphics. Especially with the video card I have

I might get it for my PSP. Either that or for the PC.

I might buy a PS3 later in the year, so I dont want to buy any games for my old XBOX. Hmmm, where is it anyway? The wife probably sold it.

I have the PC Version, will get the XBOX360 version for Live when it's out, but not released til 8 September or something here

the strategy is usually on the launch of a new system like ps3 or xbox360 to take out a bunch of crap that was in last years game on the inferior system and chalk it up to "we ran out of time"

usually selling the game on graphics alone and then putting the crap back in over the years that should have been anyway so they can act like they are adding new stuff each year

my guess is the next gen madden is gonna be great graphics but light on other things

Doesn't sound like it would be much of a surprise now ... By telling you she made a lot of points and didn't lay out a dime ... See how that works?
