Default Is It Your Dream To Become A Pro Gambler?

I had it, lost it, had it, lost it, had it and now lost it again but will be a pro again. It should be every posters dream to become a professional bettor.

JJ, the goal is to make money, no one cares if you call yourself a professional gambler.

having your own business/income is the only way to go. working the 9-5 in Corporate America is broken and is not worth the risk/headache.

There is not better feeling to have the tag "Pro Gambler" associated with your name

I think most of you dont no how to identify a pro gambler, a pro gambler is not someone who bets thousands of dollars a game, rich people do that everyday and loose as much as JJ gold. A professional gambler is one who supports his style of living simply off gambling with no other means of income. If you win 500 dollars a month and you live broke but that's your only means of income, you are a professional gambler. It means that is your PROFESSION

I used to think that. Now it's not much different than any other job. There are a lot of days that are more frustrating and demoralizing than any office job could ever be...

I have never had a 9-5 job, but I have owned or should say was C.E.O. of a couple of corporations I started. In each case I worked over twelve hour days, seven days a week. Well one of them, I did manage to get down to only working 5 days a week, twelve hour shifts. So, in a sence I was working in Corporate America, but even being so chained to the business was so much better than any part time job I ever had in the beginning of my life. I have to say though, that although Sports Betting was devastating in the beginning, now it is my sole income and I really enjoy it. Of course I only work 6 months out of the year, so maybe that is why I like it so much...

BOL JJ, you'll find your way back, you always do...

Oh man you said it buddy,

Then you can be all chilled out about it when you tell people what you do, and then they go "oh my God, really??" all wide-eyed, and then you just calmly go "yeah". You know, all super cool and chilled out. Maximum respect, ultra ultra cool. That's the dream, baby.

Even then though, there's still no chicks in it. Being a pro gambler is the one thing, more than any other, where you can reach the top of your game, and still get no chicks from it. Even the head elite honcho dungeon master at D&D conventions still gets the one or two hot chicks around that are into D&D. A pro gambler gets no chicks for it. Chicks aren't even impressed. Some gamblers have girlfriends or wives of course, but those are women they met in other ways, women they could have gotten even if they just had any old crappy job or life's work.

You know that is one thing I haven't been able to do... I mean I am usually embarrassed and say I am a private investor, semi-retired, I own a small online company, things like that... I mean saying you are a professional gambler just really doesn't pull a lot of weight in this world and most successful people will just look down on you... You are right about the women also... They don't seem to look at you as a stable prospect... well not the financially successful ones anyway... lol...

Herman, all you need is to hit $10.40 plays for the next 5 years to make up for that 10K you lost last year

Default Hell Yeah...

Who wants to work for a capitalist? I'd rather be the capitalist and work for myself. I want to partake in the exploitative rewards of surplus-values. That's the 'American Dream.'

The government can keep that bullsh*t picket fence for itself. I just want the cash.

Theoretically speaking, there's no need to achieve pro gambler status if your gaming activities are purely recreational (have fun). But for the rest of us that are trying to turn their sportsbook winnings into an early retirement fund, I encourage you to achieve pro gambler status.

That's why I bet. (Ching, Ching... Bitches)

DukeJohn,

This is your signature:

Final 2008-'09 NBA & NHL: +48.27 Units
Final 2008 MLB: +46.24 Units
Final 2007-'08 NBA & NHL: +48.10 Units

So if these records are accurate, at $1000 per unit, as of today since the beginning of the 2007 NBA/NHL season (roughly October), you made $142,610. Do you play $1000 per unit?

No... 2007 NBA/NHL & 2008 MLB, I was only building my bank roll and lived off of other income... It wasn't until this last NBA/NHL season that it became my sole means of income... I am currently only at close to each unit representing $500...

let me help you....I'm not favored over ANYONE and I admit it.

I have never been in a real fight, I wrestled in High School, that's it...I don't go to the gym, I'm 5-10, 125-127 pounds of all skin and bone.

Watch my videos, I'm skinny, and weak.

I admit it, I would get beat up...I wouldn't pussy out though, I would fight them, but inside know I would most likely lose.

patty would be even a bigger fav over this kid than onner. patty seems like an edgy guy. if you get him too mad, he would go nuts on you. hes got a wicked temper and is not scared to attack someone if you upset him.

who would win in a fight

patty -730
sammy +590

sammy might be the weakest fighter in forum history. i am sure the girls he goes with push him around too.
