    NBA's Greatest Losers

Could be an entertaining list. These are the guys that on paper, it would seem that they have all the talent in the world, but when it's game time, they are a liability. List is open to today's players, as well as past NBA players. Also, this list is not about guys that were great but could never get over the hump due to better comp i.e Karl Malone, Stockton, Ewing, etc., but for the guys that tend to infect teams.

Several that come to mind and are aguably in the top 5-10, are:

    Carmeolo Anthony
    A.I
    D. Williams--maybe not top ten, but when it's all said and done, he's going to be on the bubble
    World Peace--not a top ten
    Latrell--not a top ten

    List others!

Quentin Daley = blast from the past....guy ate a hot dog while he was sitting on the bench

    Rod Strickland

Melo is the all time guy

awww...forgot about x-blazer strickland. I guess I could see him being on this list...though, when he was a blazer, he wasn't a focal guy...trying to think of key guys that imploded teams.

Vince Carter has to be up there

Strick was "best" as a bullet with webber and Howard

Unfortunately even though he put up good numbers everyone knew he was a waste

    Also Gil arenas wins

Amare Stoudemire--guy is getting worse the longer he's in the league

great call with arenas...some of these guys have become such losers, mainstream is already starting to forget them.

AI took a pretty average team to the finals the year he won the MVP.

I firmly believe that jr smith would be one of the 10 most talented players in the league but he's a straight up loser

At least he scored 60 the other day in china

Ricky davis...A poor man's latrell sprewell lol.

Antwan jamison is a "good" character guy, but a horrible volume scorer and bad defender.

Jerry Stackhouse has to be up there.

    steve francis

    Marbury

  14. #14

Definitely Arenas, i thought hed be a great

Btw, take AI off that list immediately, he did 150% of what that team was capable

    Marbury might be the best

He left two different lottery teams and the next year they both made western conference finals

Arenas was a pretty lethal scoring point guard for the wizards, if you wasnt for the Whore from Akron, he would have gotten a lot more love. His knee injuries hurt him more then him being goofy/idiotic/crazy.

k...I heard your guys' arguments and I crossed off A.I. I tend to think that his attitude was distracting...I also think that Rasheed is guilty of the same thing. I'll never forget or forgive him for the towel/ Sabonis incident.

Man, you guys listed some good ones that I completely spaced on.

francis, Marbury, and tmac are list worthy...

not so sure about howard and stackhouse. I think these guys were dissapointing, but I don't see them as being some of the greatest losers that sabatoged their respective teams.

no way...these guys lost because they faced superior competition. They played their best and it was not good enough. Thread is more for the guys who were horrible team players, bad character flaws, etc. that ended making them and their teams losers.

When he carried team USA on his back in the 2000 Olympic to barely win the Gold, he will never be loser. Everyone will remember him for that, including the dunk.

  23. #23

Ok.... By that definition, Nash and Stockton certainly aren't on the list.

    Robert Swift is however.

Vince Carter is a liability in the NBA. The guy would rather hug and hive five opponents than play real basketball.

  25. #25

Bryant Reeves was a good in college and was highly touted to be a beast in the NBA and did shit

    Eric Montross, Christian Laetner

  27. #27

some of these guys seemed more over-hyped out of college...but never were good enough to hold the same standing as a Melo or a Marbury. Definitely disappointing though....haven't heard the name Eric Montross in eons. Makes me want to look at my old basketball card collection.
