People really think a new president will make a difference the hole this country is in . And Mitt Romney is the answer it will only get worse kids. Face it the US is bucked it will never get better. Will stay the same or get worse my money is on it will get worse. If only George W could run again he will did a number on this country . But really it is all Obama's fault.

Sammy be a realist here. Ur smarter than this. Rep nominees r having their time in the sun, hence y numbers artificially inflated. If those numbers are the same 1 month out of election then il take em seriously.

Sammy, based on this gallup poll give me +EV on Obama to win the election. Il go all-in

People hate politicians in general (obv)

So generic candidates (who haven't had the force of an opposing party smear them) always poll well.

I know you're conservative, Sam, but putting that aside for a second: Who do you think wins in an Obama vs Romney election?

    GUM ,

As far as 'wanting to win' I'm not elated with either of those two

Who would win between them... Too many variables to say, two that come to mind are Unemployment & cost of living/economy in Sept '12

How can you lose to someone that isn't real? Is the GOP going to just nominate "generic candidate"???

  22. #22

Not good for Republican backer's when their top Candidates Romney just dropped a bomb by saying he doesn't care about the Poor. That will lose them the independent vote's quickly in 2012In matter fact I don't care who the Republican nominee is, they will lose guarantee unless Colin Powell comes out and run

I hope that is true. it should be based on the last 3 years. But you know that there are those that will vote for him even if the unemployment rate was 30% and the debt was 30 trillion.

Anybody who believes this type of "survey" is a moron

It comes down to a couple of swing states just like every election. Whoever wins more of those swing states will win. The same states that go blue will go blue and the same states who always go red will go red

This poll doesn't even have Obama compete against an actual candidate. Poll released on the same day shows Obama beating all GOP candidates in Ohio. You think Obama is really going to lose Oregon?

I think the Massuchusetts Moderate wins more of the Independents and ascends to the throne. I do not think Obama can be an effective leader when it seems as if half the counrty hates him. He was elected as a reaction to the failed Bush Presidency. US needs less divisive leaders. Romney is not some right wing nut(at least not perceived to be) and if the Democrats have any sense they will try and work with him if he becomes the President.
