Anyone remember the boxer Tommy Morrison?

Back in the early 90's Tommy Morrison was perhaps the best white Heavyweight boxer out there. He's not in the same league as Tyson or Ali but nobody can deny that he hit hard! I came across this video of him the other day. I was sort of shocked. He looks and sounds pretty rough. I think he's just over 40 in this video. Is this because of HIV or because of hardcore drugs? I'm thinking possibly Meth? I find it kind of sad actually. Maybe I'm the only that thinks he looks rough... give me your thoughts.

I hardly recognize him now. It might not be drugs. Maybe just the aggressiveness of the HIV

In his prime he beat Razor Ruddock which was no mean feat and acquitted himself well against Lennox Lewis who was probably the last 'great' heavyweight champion.

The deeds were never going to match the hype though.

Yeah man... that was a brutal KO. Funny thing is... years later Mercer said that Tommy hit him harder than anyone ever had. In Mercer's prime... his chin was as good as anyones in the history of Heavyweights. Just my opinion of course.

I think this is more than just age... it's either HIV or hardcore drugs... or more than likely both. I'm 40 and I have friends in their 40's. None of us have aged like Tommy has. Even friends that I haven't seen in 10 years don't look that rough.

I think there were strong cases the HIV test were incorrect...however I believe a case could be made either way (positive/negative)...

Morrison is mentally ill and absolutely has HIV/AIDS. He's been talking crazy for years.

Tommy "The Duke" Morrison.He was my favorite boxer when I was younger.He was never the same boxer after Merciless Ray Mercer gave him that brutal beatdown.I was yelling at the tv during that fight "stop the fight".I'd say that beating and drugs why he talks that crazy shit.
