trust me, Im a fan of the UFC and I know its wayy wayyyy wayyy better than what has been showed on fox but man have their been some absolute dumps of fights shown on the network. just very unlucky.


that first fight tonight was absolutely awful..the 3rd i have never seen 2 guys to tired..they were throwing punches that were so slow it looked two 4 year olds cat fighting.

First fight with Dos Santos/ Brown Pride had incredible ratings. I have a feeling tonight will have good ratings as well. Business as usual. They don't care about the quality of fights, per se, as long as they get good ratings.

it will pick up, I read it was a 7 yr deal, events and programming on fox, fx, fuel ... 100 mil a yr ... which is smart, they made 250mil in 2008 from PPV's but u cant have a PPV every wk, not many people could afford to buy all that shit... this whay u get to hold more live events, make a extra 100mil a yr, and attract more fans

forgot about the Dos Santos fight....that was the only good thing that has come out of this deal. but even that for the casual fan they are trying to draw in, the fight was over in no time.

highly doubt they are bringing in any new viewers from tonights card. Rashad destroyed Phil Davis but really in unimpressive fashion...Bones is going to KILL Rashad if he comes out like that again.

I think Fox will need to make the broadcasts more exciting if they want good ratings. They'll hold their own and try to make the most of the deal, but I've felt so un-enthused during their broadcasts compare to when UFC is on Spike and elsewhere. Even the Strikeforce cards on Showtime are so much better than how these Fox broadcasts have been.

what it needs to be most entertaining is more fights. there were 3 fights in 2 hours 13 minutes. Make the undercard 2 hours and put 2 of those fights in between the 3 main card fights.

If you want more viewers you need more action. The main card was much too slow.

exactly what I was thinking watching the fights. Obviously the thinking was(by FOX execs) was that the sport is growing at a rapid rate and it would just blow up once it's on broadcast television and more people are exposed to it. Unfortunately, the fights on FOX have been horrible. I mean the nature of the sport with wrestlers and ground game are going make a lot of the fights pretty boring, but when you have fights with guys gassing out in the 2nd round(which happened in 2 of the 3 fights on the main card) or a guy getting knocked out 15 seconds into the fight(the first ever fight on FOX Velasquez/Dos Santos), that's not going to appeal to the casual fan. I'm a big MMA fan and I'll watch no matter what, but I can't imagine the casual sports fan that tuned into the FOX shows will be inclined to watch again. You know Dana White and FOX execs have to be shaking their heads right now.

Can't get mad at this guy vaughany. These are the kinds of people Dana is going after, with these fox shows. They haven't been great shows. Dana like to give bullshit matchups on the free shows. The good cards are ppv events.
