Default What did We learn in NCAA today boys?

was looking forward to evaluating a lot of teams today....

what did we learn? most of it is obvious, I'm still breaking alot of it down... Oklahoma, kansas, Lsu, kentucky, florida very dissapointing... but if you are already IN the tourney this is a good spot to lose honestly.

I was against Pitt today, when they were down by 9 in the 2nd half....I was more concerned about how they would react to being down at home like that, then I was about the bet. Wow they impressed the fuk out of me with their runs in the 2nd half. I just wonder if they are peaking? The Big East tourney wears a team down....

But it is obvious to me that this Pitt team is different from years past. I still think they are very susceptible to break downs (more so then other top teams) and for them to win 6 straight in the big dance

looking like there is an outside possibility of 3 #1 seeds from the Big East in the NCAA tourney.... has this ever happened before? from one conference?

we learned to not make a deadbolt play thats a fade of one of my plays

what we learned is Oklahoma was proved to be a fraud, Mizzu is a nothing and Oklahoma never had a chance, what a joke that Oklahoma was thought to be a #1 seed. Even Memphis who has beaten anybody is more impressive

maybe the big 12 in general is a big fraud then??? they aren't looking too good these days

I think OK, Missou, and Texas can still make alot of noise in the tourney... its wide open... whoever gets hot...

somtimes it is good for a team to have a rough patch like OK is having down the stretch.....right before conf. tourneys start.... wouldn't write OK off yet

Archie, that is a good statement, the Big 12, Big 10, and SEC are a joke!

UNC conference champs, I hope second and third rounds are a team from the following and it will be a complete route, and that is a guarantee.

But I really hope UNC gets to play Memphis, that team is the biggest joke of the NCAA. WOW, congrads Calipari, you are undefeated in one of the worst conference in the nation, Welcome to the tourney where you actually have to play somebody, please let UNC route this little bitch team. There isn't a shooter on this team, they wouldnt have a chance

    What did I learn, Archie?

Ever since their loss to Utah on January 27th, BYU is 8-0 in 2H play.

Also, I don't think Texas will make any noise in the tourney. Doubt they make the Sweet 16, tbh.

unde, you are an idiot. you act like calipari has a choice of which conference he is in. not sure why you hate them so much. up until the final game, they routed everyone in the tourney last year. haha boy that sure showed them didnt it??? you show how little you know about college hoops with your statements in this thread son. you say they dont have a single shooter on the team, yet evans will be a top 10 draft pick. sure, they arent the team of a year ago but they are still a top 10 team in the country and theres no doubt about that.

ou a fraud... why? because they lost to one of the best home teams in the country, in conference play. you really made yourself look ignorant. keep betting those road teams in big 12 conf. play and you will end up like venditto. you obviously lost your ass tonight and deservingly so. you kids make bets based on who you "think" are the better teams and have no idea how to cap games. you are a funny read dude

I agree that SEC is weak, but don't read too much into LSU's performance, as it was an obvious letdown spot after they clinched the conference title Saturday.

Also, Missouri is NOT garbage at home, they are 18-0 there while crushing teams by +24 points per game.

Three #1's from Big East? I doubt any other team has a chance to be a #1 besides UConn and Pitt.

Finally, Memphis is now #1 in the Pomeroy Ratings, so they are a legitimate threat to win the national title despite the conference they play in.

LT, why shouldn't Louisville get a 1 seed if they win out to get AT LEAST a share of the Big East Championship? I would think that and a Big East finals appearance would be more than enough

True, but I just don't see that happening the way they have been playing lately.

Missouri is Much better than they are getting credit for, there is a reason they have a stellar record this year, and at home they haven't been touched.

There is no way Oklahoma or Louisville deserve number one seeds. My number one seeds are North Carolina, Pitt, UConn and Memphis.
The person that said Memphis sucks doesnt know jack **** about college basketball. I think they have a really good chance to win the tournament this year.

Big Ten teams can't score. Watched the Wisconsin/Minnesota game and no one could hit a shot in the 1st half. Gophers were up 23-16 at the half. Big Ten has some of the ugliest games to watch this year. Should be a fun game Illinois at Penn St tonight. Last game at Illinois, Penn St won a barn burner 38-33!

the way they've been playing??? They didnt show up for 1 game against Notre Dame. Outside of that, Louisville has been as good as anybody else. Also, no way in hell Louisville doesn't deserve that #1 seed over Memphis

Well, I thought Louisville was playing like one of the best teams in the country for a while. However, I feel their play has slipped noticably since that blowout home loss to UConn. Maybe that game took some of the heart out of them, I don't know. Also, don't forget they got blown out at Notre Dame too.

Since the ND loss, Louisville has done just about everything right, the ND game can be tossed out too, the travelled the same day

Oh and no way Louisville is seeded higher than Memphis, assuming Memphis wins out, which they should.

Well, they have been winning, but they are not playing nearly as well as they did before the UConn game. Lousiville was actually my dark horse pick to win it all before that game. I have soured on them since.

I learned that MICH ST. is a real threat to make the final four. No other Big Ten teams advances past the sweet 16. I'm not sure if any others even make the sweet 16. Also, it's quite obvious to me that Pitt is the best team in the nation. Even if they went up against UNC, I'm pretty sure Pitt would win that game. I'm really looking forward to the tourney this year.

i think this thing is as wide open as ever, there isn't one team that Can't be beaten at almost any time. Its really amazing. Uconn looked like the team to me till they layed that egg at home vs Pitt, they were really dominated, then Pitt loses to Providence?!

Duke is a joke, won't make it to the sweet 16, UNC has off games every once in a while, no where near as good as the 2005 team. Memphis has yet to be tested by any of the top teams, so who knows there. Oklahoma showed that if they aren't shooting well from the outside, like last night, you can count them out real quick. UCLA is a joke compared to recent years.

    This thing is WIDE open.

Perception says you can't have 3 #1s from 1 conf. Reality is right now Pitt, Uconn, Louis probably should be #1 with NC. Memphis only contender to knock out Louis?

Memphis 1-2 top 25 4-3 top 50! Pitt 4-2, UConn 8-2, Louis. 5-1 top 25 no doubt better at top 50! UAB, TELP, Hous., Tulsa, 0-11 top 25 and 6-19 top 50! Early losts by Memphis to Cuse, Xavier, Georgeown, Beat say Gonz. and Tenn. If numbers don't count then somebody tell the selection committee that!

Great Def. might take Tigers far in tourney but don't think so? No way Memhis is top 3 in BEast! Remember the BEast is a pounding night after night (except Depaul)

Pitts, Uconn, for sure #1s, Louis. wins BEast tourney how do you leave them out? Looks like Louis.'s outside shooting is coming around! We shouldn't get caught up with the national media bowing to Memphis.

IMO Okla., Duke and MICHSTATE ( sorry)have shots at #1 depending on tourney.

True, but if only say 2 BEast teams make it do you leave out PItt or UConn? Lets hope Memphis gets upset in conf. tourney so they can be placed where they belong!

if UConn loses to Pitt again, then they would be out. If UConn wins, you just have to have 3 #1's from the Big East

remember last year, did they win BOTH games they played in the SEC tourney when they had to play an unpresidented 2 in ONE day? that team may pull more shit out of their ass than anyone else.

Seriously Ryan that would be a good wager for you because with politics involved with everything don't think 3 BEast teams would make it even if they deserve to. Like TPowell said well Memphis/Louis., 4/5 ranked teams in 64 field Elite 8 matchup? Ryan, who wins that game?
