I spoke to a 5dimes rep on the net in order to change a withdrawal amount and he asked me to confirm my username and password. When I asked him about it, he said that they ask all their customers for their usernames and passwords on the net/over the phone. Is that true? My wife is going nuts now telling me that I've lost all the money in the 5dimes account. I'm concerned about this, am I ok?

I dropped 5 Dimes about 7 months ago, website too slow, lousy customer support.

Concerns me as well I have been asked a few times by 'Live Chat' as well as over the phone for both my username & password. To me revealing stuff like this is an obvious potential security risk.

Some sites like Bowmans, Mansion + Bodog have the facility to be able to change your password online I think all Sportsbooks should have their software setup to enable an online password change.

Mansion go one step further in allowing you to set your limits for their Poker Room & Casino I currently have mine set at $1 as I have not the slightest interest in either Casino or Poker.

Again I feel that all sportsbooks should offer this facility to stop potential unauthorised access to Accounts.

It is normal as long as i have been doing this they ask for your pass word and account number how else would they access your account. I have never seen them steal passwords or account numbers not even mvp or vwager lol.


Like I have been saying you should have enough trust in the book and the people to give them your account number or let them change it. If its that bad with the trust issue time to stop but I don't think you have anything to worry about as far as i know 5 dimes is reputable. I have never wagered with them tho.

All books should at least offer this. A player was able to take 7k from a Youwager account by requesting an account-to-account transfer using the users name and password. I don't believe any books offer this procedure currently. Transferring to the poker table should at least require an additional password.
