it gives you the best odds.....but if you really look at it, its designed to have you be up on 3 or 4 numbers and by the time you are up on 3 or 4 numbers you know whats coming.....7 away! obviously you can get lucky and go on a run.....but it does not happen often. I dealt craps 40 hours a week for 7 years.....the table pretty much never lost money.....a 40 minute roll would only happen like once a week....if that.
once when I was dealing a stripper betting $5 a roll threw the dice for like 5 hours.....and it just happend that a ton of big betters were on the table.....well not big but like regulars betting 30 flat with 100 odds on 3 numbers. well by the time the roll ended they all had table max 10k a number. after like 2 hours the last 3 hours took like a half hour per roll. they had to fill the pumpkins every roll.....now I have only seen this once in 7 years.
