Default I just saw Two For The Money

Lame. Weak.

There are two ways to look at it. As a movie fan (movie snob??), forget it. Very amateurish, unfocused, often nonsensical script. Weird (bad) directing decisions giving it an extra cheese factor. Many hammy moments with the acting.

As a person who is immersed in the world of sports betting, forget it. This movie isn't aimed at me. It's aimed at the average Joe-on-the-streets who doesn't know the world or understand the subtleties. I think that most people who post here will find themselves rolling their eyes a lot at the way things are exaggerated and simplified.

About the only thing that really rang true for me was a part where Pacino was coaching the up-and-coming tout how to sell himself. I can just imagine all the wannabe touts over at Covers seeing this movie and becoming even more obnoxious and unbearable.

I dunno. I am much more critical of movies than most people. It's possible that I'm out in left field here and lots of posting forum people will actually like this movie.

But I would be very surprised.

Reviews were bad. When you are involved in the industry as much as we are...we are obviously going to find inherent falls in it. Things that are just too fake and stuff.

It seems that everyone at covers is trying to become a tout these days. They say follow me..."lock" and so on. That forum has become unbearable. I don't know how the good cappers tolerate it still. Seems like there is a high turnover ratio at covers.

All of these type movies suck. They never tell the real story.

I'll wait until Netflix has it. The trailer looks good, but many do !

Both actors are falling off Hollywood's most wanted list. It’s especially sad to watch Al. He still wants to play the badass. I think he should stop with the plastic surgery and the hair help and play a grandfather. De Niro apparently gets it.

mayebe Al can play Tony Montana again in Scar Face II. I mean its possible to survive getting hit 40 times with a .223 bullets falling off a second floor into a fountain.

Funny you say that. The "Scarface" video game is almost ready to come out and I think Al did the voice for it. In fact, I believe the premise of the game starts out where he actually survived all the bullets!

I haven't even seen it, and could tell that it was going to be exactly as Mudcat says it is.

That's an excellent way to describe it.

It was after a few beers but I was actually down-right bored watching the second half.

It was ok. The ending made no sense to me. If you don't go, you aren't missing much.
