The -3.5 line was a joke, inflated by vegas. Basically saying Niners would be +10 in N.O. but they had a line of +7 in GB at the time, so saying saints are 3 points better than the Packers.

i know lines don't always make sense and vegas keeps undervaluing the 49ers by a few points each game because they're not flashy or heavily bet (sagarin predictor 49ers 28.45 saints 29.32 packers 29.34)
